The role of Marketing Manager, Tours & Events, within Active Interest Media is tailored for a driven marketing professional who thrives in hands-on execution and is passionate about consumer marketing cycles. This full-time position centers on executing comprehensive consumer marketing strategies aimed at driving ticket and tour spot sales, growing interest pipelines, and cultivating loyal event attendees who become repeat customers. The successful candidate will work closely with leadership to meet revenue targets and orchestrate multiple simultaneous campaigns designed to heighten brand engagement and maximize event participation. Unlike event production roles, this position focuses exclusively on consumer marketing, emphasizing revenue generation and lifecycle marketing that converts first-time attendees into multi-year loyal customers.
The Marketing Manager will be entrusted with end-to-end ownership of conversion rate optimization strategies across digital channels, employing targeted segmentation and multi-channel tactics to enhance lead generation and sales conversion rates. Their role involves the design and analysis of A/B tests to fine-tune digital assets like websites, landing pages, pricing models, and funnels. Collaboration with editorial teams will be key to enhancing web presence and creating compelling post-event content that extends the attendee experience and reinforces the brand’s value proposition. The role also requires optimizing paid media efforts including SEM, SEO, display advertising, and social media to attract high-quality leads. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, or related field
- Minimum 3 years of experience in digital marketing with a focus on consumer marketing and revenue generation
- Experience managing multi-channel marketing campaigns and marketing automation platforms
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to design and interpret A/B tests
- Excellent collaboration and communication skills to work effectively with editorial and leadership teams
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously and meet revenue targets
- Proficiency in SEO, SEM, and digital advertising tools
- Familiarity with CRM and lead nurturing platforms such as Salesforce Personalization
Job Qualifications
- 3+ years of experience in digital marketing, with a demonstrated track record of driving revenue across multiple tours and or events — ideally at a media company or enthusiast brand
- Deep expertise in multi-channel marketing and marketing automation, including segmentation, behavioral triggers, and reducing over-reliance on batch-and-blast programs
- Proven ability to build and execute new tours and events — from pre-launch pipeline building through post-launch sustain
Job Duties
- Own and execute the end-to-end conversion rate optimization strategy to increase lead generation through building targeted interest lists and desired actions across digital marketing channels
- Execute consumer ticket and tour spot sales campaigns across all events and tours, working within sales plans and revenue targets set in partnership with leadership
- Design, launch, and analyze A/B tests to optimize website pages, pricing, landing pages, and digital funnels
- Partner with editorial to spearhead website strategy and enhancements to drive awareness and engagement with our tours and consumer events among prospective attendees
- Champion and optimize paid media campaigns (SEM, SEO, display, social) to generate high-quality leads and effectively guide customers through the pre-purchase journey
- Provide transparency into performance through KPIs, reporting, and insights that drive continuous improvement through insightful recommendations
- Together with editorial, produce post-event content packages (recap emails, photo highlights) to extend the event experience and reinforce the value of attending
