Based in Austin, Texas, the full-time Marketing Community Manager role represents a pivotal position within the team that supports various hospitality ventures, including Hotel Magdalena, Summer on Music Lane, and Equipment Room. The Marketing Community Manager is responsible for spearheading all outward-facing marketing activities to ensure brand consistency and excellence across multiple platforms. This role demands a talented and proactive individual capable of embracing the dynamic needs of these venues while maintaining the Bunkhouse brand standards.

The Marketing Community Manager will play an essential part in developing and nurturing Bunkhouse’s culture, values, and public reputation. As the face of the marketing efforts, this position involves close collaboration with internal teams, vendors, partners, and guests to promote the company's mission and brand integrity. The successful candidate will be engaged in leadership within marketing meetings, managing content and social media calendars, producing marketing materials, and overseeing photo shoots and external media logistics.

Additionally, the role requires creativity and strategic thinking to develop compelling events, partnerships, and promotions that align with guest service excellence. Coordinating with the sales and field marketing teams to ensure the timely delivery of marketing collateral and digital assets is a vital responsibility. The Marketing Community Manager will also ensure seamless communication of marketing campaigns through newsletters and email blasts to effectively engage target audiences.

Job Requirements

  • Three years experience in marketing, social media, events, or related field
  • Photography and video experience preferred

Job Duties

  • Lead monthly marketing meetings with hotel, restaurant, and bar team to ensure needs are met, on brand and within budget for collateral, events, digital, PR, photography, and promotions
  • Develop and manage content/social media calendar for three accounts (Hotel Magdalena, Summer on Music Lane, Equipment Room) with corporate team approvals
  • Photograph occasional marketing assets for food and beverage specials, retail, events
  • Assist in producing larger scale internal photo shoots including shot lists and coordination with property teams
  • Manage logistics for external photo shoot and video requests approved by corporate team
  • Work with art team on project managing collateral needs including operational, event, and menu updates
  • Organize, manage, and develop marketing and programming calendar for the full year
  • Ensure digital assets are up to date working with Field Marketing team
  • Manage website updates
  • Submit email blast features for Bunkhouse newsletters
  • Create and send monthly property marketing emails
  • Support sales team with collateral needs
  • Assist in PR activities including press stays, coordinating room drops, gathering press quotes
  • Generate creative event ideas, partnerships, and programming efforts
  • Support hotel operations during busy periods
