Job Description

Amazon Web Services (AWS) is a global leader in cloud computing, offering a comprehensive and evolving suite of cloud services that enable businesses to innovate and scale efficiently. AWS serves millions of customers worldwide, including startups, enterprises, public sector organizations, and industry-specific leaders. As a technology and cloud services provider, AWS focuses on delivering solutions that help organizations transform digitally through leveraging cloud infrastructure, data analytics, and artificial intelligence (AI).

The AWS Industry Marketing team is dedicated to addressing the unique needs of industry customers by driving targeted go-to-market strategies and marketing campaigns. Specifically, the Healthcare and Life Sciences (HCLS) Industry Marketing team helps customers in healthcare providers, payors, life sciences, genomics, and medtech sectors accelerate their cloud, data, and AI adoption journeys. This team operates at the intersection of technology and some of the world’s most complex industries, crafting compelling customer stories, creating differentiated industry content, and participating in critical industry events.

As a Marketing Manager for Healthcare and Life Sciences at AWS, you will take ownership of planning and executing high-profile industry events, including both first-party (1P) and third-party (3P) engagements. Your role is pivotal in driving event strategies that showcase AWS’s value proposition within healthcare and life sciences, ensuring that AWS and customer executives deliver impactful and differentiated experiences at these premier industry moments. You will collaborate closely with other marketing functions such as web content, campaigns, demand generation, field teams, and central events to implement global marketing initiatives that highlight AWS’s industry breakthroughs and solutions.

The role requires a dynamic individual capable of thriving in a fast-paced, high-stakes environment. You will manage complex logistics across multiple stakeholders to ensure seamless execution of event experiences that include keynote addresses, fireside chats, and executive roundtables featuring senior AWS and customer leaders. A data-driven mindset is essential, using metrics and customer feedback to continuously refine event strategies and content investments. Moreover, a passion for healthcare and life sciences and the ability to link AWS technology solutions to specific industry challenges will distinguish you as a key contributor to the team’s success.

In terms of compensation and employment details, this is a full-time position with a competitive salary range varying by location, generally between $80,600 and $155,200 annually. AWS also offers comprehensive benefits including health insurance, retirement plans, paid time off, and parental leave. The position is located in major U.S. hubs such as Santa Clara, New York, Arlington, or Seattle.

In summary, this opportunity allows you to join a world-class technology company at the forefront of cloud innovation, working with a dedicated marketing team focused on one of the most impactful industry sectors—healthcare and life sciences. Your expertise will help shape the success of AWS’s industry presence through strategic event management and collaborative marketing initiatives that resonate deeply with industry customers and stakeholders.
