Braintrust is a global talent network designed to connect top independent professionals with leading companies looking for highly skilled and flexible talent. As a pioneering platform in the talent marketplace industry, Braintrust specializes in helping organizations hire qualified professionals faster and more efficiently while providing independent experts access to vetted, innovative opportunities. Through this extensive network, businesses can tap into a broad spectrum of expertise and skill sets across various industries, enabling them to scale projects and build their teams with trusted talent partners worldwide.
TRM Labs, a distinguished intelligence platform dedicated to public safety and national security, is a trusted partner for over 600 government agencies and financial institutions across 75 countries. The company focuses on combating fraud, scams, cybercrime, child exploitation, money laundering, and sanctions evasion by leveraging a cutting-edge platform that combines proprietary intelligence, AI-native investigations software, and disruption-network infrastructure. Their technology is especially designed to operate in environments where accuracy, auditability, and security are critical, offering unmatched capabilities to detect and disrupt criminal networks exploiting emerging technologies such as cryptocurrency and artificial intelligence.
The Marketing Events Specialist role at TRM Labs is a highly organized, hands-on position responsible for managing the execution of regional Tier 2 and Tier 3 events. This contract opportunity requires a detail-oriented professional who thrives in coordinating complex events from inception through completion. The position involves owning the event execution process after the initial sponsorship or program handoff, building execution plans, managing multiple workstreams, coordinating with vendors and internal stakeholders, and ensuring smooth onsite readiness. Additionally, the specialist supports event marketing promotions, prepares internal teams, and conducts comprehensive post-event reporting to assess outcomes and document lessons learned.
This is a part-time role with a workload of approximately 20-30 hours per week, sometimes fluctuating during peak event seasons. It is an immediate project need, favoring candidates able to interview promptly and commence onboarding swiftly. The initial six-month contract may be extended based on business needs and performance. Reporting directly to the Regional Events Lead, the Marketing Events Specialist collaborates closely with Regional Marketing, Sales, Design teams, event organizers, and external vendors to ensure flawless event execution.
This opportunity is ideal for professionals with experience executing B2B conferences, trade shows, sponsorships, meetups, or similar events who can independently manage multiple overlapping deadlines with exceptional attention to detail and responsiveness. Familiarity with platforms like Notion, Slack, Splash, and Luma is preferred, along with the flexibility to travel regionally and occasionally support evening or weekend events. Although prior experience in fintech, cryptocurrency, or cybersecurity is not mandatory, those with a background in B2B technology will find the transition smoother.
By joining TRM Labs as a Marketing Events Specialist, you will contribute directly to building a safer world by facilitating events that enhance the organization’s ability to fight sophisticated criminal networks. Your expertise will enable TRM Labs to deliver polished, professional events consistently, freeing strategic leadership to focus on high-impact projects. This role represents a unique intersection of event management acumen and mission-driven work, offering a rewarding career path for dedicated event professionals eager to make a difference through meticulous execution and strategic collaboration.
