Job Description
Cohen & Co is a prestigious professional services firm known for its commitment to excellence and client-centered approach. Established with a foundation of inclusivity, growth, and a 'great people first' philosophy, Cohen & Co has built a reputation for delivering comprehensive accounting, auditing, advisory, and consulting services. The firm emphasizes diversity, equity, and inclusion, fostering an environment where unique perspectives are valued. Employees benefit from a competitive Total Rewards package, which goes beyond standard offerings to include merit increases, bonuses, flexible time off, and talent development opportunities. This culture of collaboration and innovation drives both the firm and its clients toward sustained success.
The Events Planning Professional will play a pivotal role within Cohen & Co's Growth team, reporting directly to the Chief Marketing Officer. This position is integral to the firm's business development and relationship-building strategies by managing a diverse portfolio of events that include national and local webinars, in-person conferences, seminars, roundtables, client entertainment, networking, and sponsorship engagements. The role demands a proactive, organized individual who can thrive in a fast-paced, team-oriented, and collaborative environment. The Events Planning Professional will lead the entire event lifecycle—from concept development and strategic alignment with company goals to execution, evaluation, and continuous improvement. A significant responsibility includes directing the firm's signature annual Investment Industry Continuing Professional Education (CPE) event, a multi-day conference attended by over 400 clients, prospects, and internal stakeholders.
Primary duties involve coordinating with internal steering committees and firm leadership to set agendas, secure speakers, manage budgets, negotiate contracts, and oversee all logistics to ensure flawless event execution. Additionally, the professional will analyze event outcomes, recommend improvements, and leverage technological platforms like Salesforce, Pardot, and Cvent alongside marketing automation tools to enhance operational efficiency. Collaboration extends to Marketing Team members and Industry Marketing Leads to integrate content, social media, email marketing, and lead tracking into event strategies.
Cohen & Co values experience and expertise, requiring candidates to have at least 10 years in progressive event and meeting planning roles, preferably within professional services environments. A bachelor's degree is required, and CMP certification is highly desired. The professional must demonstrate strong project management skills, attention to detail, technological proficiency, and a client service mindset. The position also involves travel up to 30% across the US and occasional evening or weekend work to support events.
This opportunity offers competitive compensation, reflective of skills, experience, and market factors, paired with a comprehensive and flexible Total Rewards package designed to cater to individual employee needs. Cohen & Co is an equal opportunity employer committed to building an inclusive and energized culture that supports both employees and clients in achieving their goals.
