Job Requirements
- bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- 1-3 years of relevant event planning, hospitality, or promotions experience
- proficiency in Microsoft Office and digital event management tools
- strong organizational skills
- excellent communication skills
- ability to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- ability to handle physical event setup and breakdown
- ability to manage budgets and timelines
- experience working collaboratively with teams
- knowledge of food service environment preferred
- reliable and proactive work ethic
Job Qualifications
- 1-3 years of experience in event planning, hospitality, or promotions preferably in food service
- demonstrated ability to manage multiple projects, timelines, and budgets
- strong organizational and time management skills
- excellent interpersonal and communication skills
- experience coordinating logistics and collaborating with stakeholders
- proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite, Canva, and digital calendar/event platforms
- willingness to work flexible hours including evenings and weekends
- ability to assist with physical setup and breakdown
- knowledge of campus dining operations and student engagement strategies preferred
- familiarity with ROI reporting and tracking event performance preferred
- experience in university environment or student programming initiatives preferred
- basic understanding of food safety and dining service protocols preferred
Job Duties
- develop and maintain relationships on campus and in the community for collaboration opportunities
- oversee the Seminole Dining Event Calendar across digital, print, and web platforms
- plan and execute events at dining halls and retail locations focusing on student engagement, meal plan retention, and sales growth
- coordinate all event logistics including planning, team coordination, setup and takedown, supply procurement, and staff collaboration
- work with culinary team to create event plans including activities, decorations, and themed food
- keep thorough event records with reliable financial reporting for ROI and submissions to Campus Event Services
- facilitate regular meetings with staff to coordinate upcoming events
- manage and update the Seminole Dining Event Wall with calendar and event details
- operate within allocated budgets and submit itemized expenses for approval
- ensure accurate timecard maintenance and communicate adjustments
- identify and implement product sampling and promotions online and in-person
- expand event and promotions calendars to retail spaces
