Job Description
Aramark is a global leader in food service, facilities management, and uniform services committed to delivering experiences that enrich and nourish communities. Renowned for its dedication to service excellence, Aramark operates across diverse industries including education, healthcare, sports and entertainment, and business dining. The company fosters an inclusive and dynamic workplace culture where professional growth, development opportunities, and community impact are paramount. Employees at Aramark are empowered to collaborate in a supportive and diverse environment where every voice is valued and innovation is encouraged. With a mission to serve, Aramark champions sustainability, quality, and customer satisfaction in all its offerings.
The role of the Events and Promotions Coordinator at Seminole Dining is pivotal in crafting and managing engaging experiences that elevate the student dining environment. This full-time position centers on the coordination, promotion, and successful execution of captivating events and promotional campaigns across various residential and retail dining locations within the campus community. The Events and Promotions Coordinator is dedicated to enhancing the overall student experience by fostering meal plan retention and generating sales growth through innovative and effective promotional activities. This role requires a professional who excels at organizing multifaceted projects, creatively developing event concepts, and working in close partnership with culinary, marketing, and operations teams to ensure seamless delivery.
In this position, the coordinator will be responsible for developing and maintaining valuable partnerships both on-campus and within the broader community to identify collaborative opportunities that enrich and expand Seminole Dining's event offerings. Daily responsibilities include overseeing and updating the Seminole Dining Event Calendar accessible via digital, print, and web-based platforms, ensuring comprehensive communication of upcoming activities. The coordinator will plan and execute diverse events at dining halls and retail venues that actively engage students, supporting both operational goals and student satisfaction. Managing all facets of event logistics is critical to this role, ranging from initial planning, coordination of event personnel, overseeing setup and takedown procedures, procurement of necessary supplies, and well-orchestrated teamwork across departments.
The coordinator also works intimately with the culinary team to design detailed event concepts that include thematic decorations, engaging activities, and food offerings tailored to specific event goals. Maintaining meticulous records and providing accurate financial reports to assess return on investment is essential, along with timely submissions to Campus Event Services. Anticipating potential challenges and proactively implementing solutions is a key aspect to ensuring the success and professionalism of each event. Regular team meetings, scheduled bi-weekly or monthly, are part of the role's responsibilities to align efforts and strategize upcoming event plans.
Budget and time management are core components of this role, requiring adherence to designated budgets—$10,000 for the fall and spring terms and $5,000 for summer—while ensuring all expenses are itemized and submitted for approval well before each event. Additionally, accurate timecard tracking and communication regarding any variations are required. The coordinator will also spearhead retail promotion efforts by identifying and rolling out product sampling and promotional activities both in physical retail spaces and through digital channels, broadening the scope of engagement opportunities.
This role offers a unique chance to work in a vibrant university setting where innovation and community engagement intersect, delivering meaningful experiences to enhance campus life. The Events and Promotions Coordinator position with Aramark and Seminole Dining is an excellent opportunity for a detail-oriented, energetic, and creative individual passionate about event planning, student engagement, and team collaboration to make a significant impact in a dynamic environment.
