Job Description
Chick-fil-A is a leading fast-food restaurant chain known for its exceptional chicken sandwiches and commitment to quality service since its establishment in 1967. As an American icon in the quick-service restaurant industry, Chick-fil-A has built a strong reputation for delivering delicious food while fostering a culture of kindness, generosity, and community engagement. Distinctively, all Chick-fil-A locations are closed on Sundays, reflecting the company’s dedication to family values and employee well-being. This policy not only allows team members to rest and spend quality time with their loved ones but also aligns with the company’s mission to serve others with care and respect. Beyond the kitchen, Chick-fil-A stands out for its philanthropic efforts and active participation in community programs, creating lasting positive impacts in the areas it serves. The company’s restaurants are known for nurturing environments where employees can develop valuable business and people skills, making Chick-fil-A not just a place to work, but a stepping stone toward a successful future in business. Chick-fil-A Operators, who independently manage each restaurant, invest deeply in their teams' growth by providing hands-on leadership and preparing employees for future career success.
The role of the Restaurant Marketing Director at Chick-fil-A is a pivotal leadership position within the restaurant’s Executive Director team, tasked with driving brand awareness and sales growth at the local level. This role requires a strategic and hands-on marketing leader who partners closely with the Operator to develop and implement comprehensive marketing plans tailored to the specific needs of their restaurant. The Restaurant Marketing Director plays a crucial role in planning and executing in-restaurant events that promote team member achievements and enhance the overall guest experience through excellent hospitality and 2nd mile service. A vital aspect of the position includes leveraging social media platforms by publishing approved content and engaging with the community to build strong connections and foster guest loyalty.
This position demands a presence both inside the restaurant and within the wider community. In-restaurant responsibilities focus on ensuring the restaurant’s brand alignment, executing promotional events, and using customer insights gathered from direct interactions to refine marketing approaches. The director is also an essential member of the Executive Leadership Team, contributing to weekly meetings with strategic input. Outside the restaurant, the Marketing Director leads community involvement efforts by organizing sponsorship events, school programs, fundraising initiatives, and active participation in city parades and events. Additionally, the role coordinates with catering and social media teams to expand outside sales and promotion opportunities.
Further responsibilities encompass developing long-term strategic plans to foster business growth, uphold Chick-fil-A’s core values, and ensure consistent customer service excellence that aligns with the company’s mission and ethical standards. The Marketing Director is also committed to monitoring market trends and customer feedback, driving innovation, and adapting strategies to meet the fast-changing needs of the market. This multifaceted leadership role offers the opportunity to significantly influence the growth trajectory of a Chick-fil-A restaurant while promoting strong community ties and delivering memorable guest experiences.
Working at Chick-fil-A offers a range of attractive benefits. Employees enjoy flexible working hours designed to accommodate personal commitments like family, school, and sports. The company’s policy of closing on Sundays provides a guaranteed day off to recharge and spend quality time with friends and family. Working directly with a Chick-fil-A Operator offers unique mentorship and the chance to learn critical business skills in a supportive environment. Competitive pay and a friendly workplace culture characterized by high employee retention reflect Chick-fil-A’s commitment to valuing its team members not just as employees but as integral parts of the restaurant’s success story. Overall, joining Chick-fil-A means becoming part of a community-focused company that nurtures personal and professional growth while emphasizing kindness and community impact.
