Job Requirements
- 1-2 years of work or internship experience in marketing, communications, public relations, advertising, or administration
- Highly organized with an eye for detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks on deadline
- Demonstrated ability to work effectively and flexibly in a rapidly changing, fast-paced environment
- Positive attitude and self-starter with the ability to forge relationships and add value to the PR team
- Proven desire and ability to think creatively in driving public relations efforts
- Ability to work harmoniously with co-workers
- Must be at least 21 years of age
- Must be able to sit and/or stand for long periods and work on a computer for extended times
- Valid driver’s license and ability to travel within San Francisco and California’s Bay Area including some evenings
- Ability to lift approximately 45 pounds, and to stand for 2-3 hours, bend, kneel, and/or crouch
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in communications, public relations, marketing, English, or related field preferred
- 1-2 years of work or internship experience in marketing, communications, public relations, advertising, or administration
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail
- Excellent written and oral communication skills
- Ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks on deadlines
- Demonstrated flexibility and effective working in fast-paced environments
- Positive attitude and self-starter with relationship-building skills
- Creative thinking for public relations efforts
- Ability to work harmoniously and uphold company quality standards
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint
- Preferred intermediate skills in Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop, InDesign, and Illustrator
- Passion for learning about the wine business
- Valid driver’s license for local travel
- Ability to lift approximately 45 pounds and stand for extended periods
Job Duties
- Manage and fulfill media requests for product information including organization and shipment of wine samples
- Review various media sources for industry trends and opportunities
- Collect and organize media coverage and create reports
- Develop and manage calendars for media programs focusing on press sample submissions
- Maintain and update press contact lists across multiple related industries
- Coordinate media visits to company properties
- Organize samples, press kits, and materials for media tastings and events
- Maintain up-to-date web content related to public relations activities
- Communicate company news through internal newsletters
- Produce sales collateral such as accolade sheets and PR slides
- Develop relationships with cross-functional teams to support PR efforts
- Assist with press release research and distribution
- Support event management including press and promotional events
- Assist with production of company publications and collateral
- Support photography shoots and filming related to press and branding
- Organize internal wine tastings to inform PR strategies
- Coordinate framing of articles for display at properties
- Support general administrative functions within the PR team
- Manage entry environment of company offices including package handling and guest welcome
- Perform additional duties as assigned maintaining company safety policies
