Job Description

Blue Mountain Resort is a premier ski and outdoor adventure destination located in Ontario, Canada, renowned for its world-class amenities and stunning natural beauty. We are currently looking for a dynamic and creative Marketing Coordinator to join our team on-site at Blue Mountain Resort. This role is pivotal in supporting the resort’s marketing initiatives by planning, coordinating, implementing, and monitoring various campaigns that enhance our brand visibility and drive engagement both on and off property. As a Marketing Coordinator, you will work closely with department managers and the marketing team to highlight different lines of business across the resort through strategic content creation and innovative social media marketing. The position requires strong organizational skills, a keen eye for detail, and the ability to manage multiple time-sensitive projects in a fast-paced environment.

The successful candidate will be responsible for developing and maintaining brand voice across social media platforms, assisting in the creation of engaging video content such as TikToks, Reels, and Instagram Stories, and helping to manage our content library. You will monitor marketing trends within the industry and ski resort sector to identify opportunities and keep the resort competitive. Other responsibilities include overseeing snow report and conditions updates and participating actively in trade shows and media events to represent the resort positively.

This is a property-based role that demands availability during weekdays, weekends, evenings, and holidays to accommodate the resort’s dynamic schedule and peak seasons. Ideal candidates will have experience with project management software, proficiency in design tools including Adobe Creative Suite and Photoshop, along with knowledge of web page development and basic computer applications. Previous ski or snowboard experience is preferred as it enhances understanding of the resort’s clientele and culture.

  • excellent interpersonal skills for representing organizations in public, during media events and product launches, product demonstrations and while participating at trade shows
  • project management experience and time-management skills for juggling numerous time-sensitive projects simultaneously
  • familiarity with project management software is an asset
  • working knowledge of basic computer applications, programs and features
  • experience creating video content (tiktoks, reels, etc)
  • basic understanding on how to capture engaging images for social media
  • proficient in wordpress, excel, ms word, photoshop, adobe creative suite
  • photoshop skills preferred
  • ski or snowboard experience preferred

Job Duties

  • assist in developing copy and maintaining brand voice across social platforms
  • assist in developing seasonal strategy for social media channels
  • assist in creating social media videos including reels, tiktoks, and instagram stories
  • work with department managers to highlight lines of business throughout the property
  • help maintain content library
  • consistent monitoring of marketing industry trends and related ski resort businesses, researching and evaluating opportunities
  • oversee snow report and conditions updates
