The role of Marketing Content Team Leader at Fisher Investments is an exciting leadership opportunity within the fishtank creative agency, reporting directly to the Associate Vice President of Global Marketing Content. This position serves as the editor-in-chief for all marketing copy, setting the standard for quality, clarity, and brand consistency. The Marketing Content Team Leader manages a talented team of content strategists, copywriters, agencies, and contractors, driving creative execution and innovation in marketing messaging. This is a hands-on leadership role that combines strategic direction with content creation, mentoring, and process improvement in an evolving digital landscape influenced by artificial intelligence and new technologies.

In this role, you will lead and inspire your team daily, ensuring efficient workflow management and the on-time delivery of projects. You will provide clear, actionable feedback to help writers improve continuously while fostering a creative and supportive environment. The Marketing Content Team Leader also develops creative briefs and messaging frameworks that guide compelling, on-brand content for multi-channel campaigns. You will champion the adoption of scalable content systems, templates, and standards that ensure consistency and efficiency across markets and initiatives. Collaborative partnerships with design, project management, and broader marketing leadership are essential to driving alignment, resource optimization, and the effective use of performance data to refine content strategies.

Job Requirements

  • 10+ years of experience leading copy content or content strategy teams
  • Proven track record of mentoring and developing creative talent
  • Exceptional writing and editing abilities
  • Deep understanding of brand voice and messaging
  • Experience with multi-channel campaign strategies
  • Strong knowledge of financial services and investment terminology
  • Proficiency in marketing tools such as JIRA Confluence Figma and generative AI
  • Ability to deliver clear feedback and manage workflow efficiently

Job Qualifications

  • 10+ years of experience leading copy content or content strategy teams at an in-house or creative agency
  • A proven performance history of developing and mentoring writers and content strategists
  • Exceptional writing and editing skills with and a deep understanding of brand voice
  • Experience creating and implementing messaging frameworks and content strategies for multi-channel campaigns
  • A strong portfolio demonstrating creative excellence across a range of short- and long-form copy formats
  • An inspiring leader who knows ways to motivate a creative team
  • Must demonstrate strong understanding of financial services investing concepts and vocabulary
  • Comfortable with marketing tools such as JIRA Confluence Figma and generative AI

Job Duties

  • Be the editor-in-chief for all marketing copy and content setting quality clarity and brand consistency across all marketing materials
  • Provide daily leadership coaching and direction to a diverse team of content strategists copywriters agencies and contractors
  • Assign and manage team workflow ensuring on-time project delivery and efficiency
  • Deliver clear actionable feedback and training that helps writers understand the why behind revisions and continuously improve
  • Write creative briefs and develop messaging frameworks that guide compelling on-brand content creation
  • Evolve and maintain scalable systems templates standards and frameworks for consistent efficient content across markets and campaigns
  • Step in as a hands-on contributor to model quality facilitate efficiency and support projects when needed
  • Champion professional development and mentorship to propel team members careers forward and foster growth
  • Help lead the use of new technologies and process improvements including generative AI collaboration tools and asset management systems
  • Partner with other teams and leadership communicating priorities resources and creative progress while applying performance data and insights to refine messaging and content strategy
