Job Description

The current opening is for a full-time Marketing and Events Coordinator who will play a critical role in supporting OCP's Foundation and Community by managing various marketing and event activities essential to advancing the organization's mission. This position reports to the Senior Director of Global Events and the Chief Marketing Officer and operates in a fully remote environment, with the candidate expected to reside in North America. The role involves approximately 15-20% travel, including some international trips to attend OCP Summits and partner gatherings. The Marketing and Events Coordinator will be the linchpin in facilitating event logistics, managing community engagement, generating promotional content, and supporting member relations. This person will work across multiple channels, including social media, newsletters, webinars, and direct sponsor communications, ensuring all initiatives align with OCP’s values and strategic objectives. They will coordinate with various stakeholders, including partners, non-profits, member companies, and the wider tech community, to build an inclusive and active environment that fosters innovation and collaboration. Candidates for this role should have a strong foundation in marketing, public relations, or related fields, along with robust organizational and communication skills, and experience with CRM platforms and digital productivity tools. Job Requirements

  • B.S. degree in advertising marketing public relations communications event management hospitality tourism or related field
  • Minimum of 5 years’ experience in marketing and event management
  • Proficiency with Salesforce or other CRM platforms
  • Experience utilizing member engagement platforms such as Moxo or Hubspot
  • Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize and manage multiple tasks
  • Excellent communication and collaboration skills
  • Experience working with global teams and diverse groups
  • Familiarity with Microsoft Office and Google Workspace
  • Basic graphic design and image management skills
  • Willingness to travel 15-20 percent including international travel
  • Residency in North America

Job Qualifications

  • Basic skills in graphic design and image creation and management

Job Duties

  • Assist with owned and third party event planning including booth preparation speaker management securing marketing materials needed and follow up after the event
  • Drive attendance at events
  • Create materials and generate demand for sponsorships
  • Support member partner events and OCP hosted events where needed
  • Manage the Media and Analyst Pre-Brief Webinars
  • Create social media content placements as well as tracking and analytics
  • Moderate social media accounts for comments and questions posed by the community
  • Assist with newsletter content creation as well as segmented dedicated email blasts that target event attendees and sponsors
  • Assist with content management and marketing strategies to continue to drive growth of the brand
  • Assist with relationship development and story pitching for the media and analyst communities
  • Help create news from ongoing contributions new members and other timely announcements
  • Support member press releases
  • Assist with updating and refreshing website content
  • Help with the communication and moderation around the creation of more formalized regional communities especially in Asia
  • Assist with Advisory Board quarterly meetings and communications
  • Work with partners and other non-profits in collaboration to support shared goals
  • Travel approximately 15-20 percent including some international travel for OCP Summits and partner events
