Job Description
The University of Wisconsin-Green Bay (UW-Green Bay) is a public higher education institution committed to providing innovative, problem-focused educational experiences that promote student success, inclusivity, and community engagement. Situated in Green Bay, Wisconsin, this university is recognized for its dedication to fostering a diverse and inclusive campus community through academic excellence and strategic partnerships. As part of the University of Wisconsin System, UW-Green Bay strives to empower learners by integrating educational access, digital transformation, and community connections into all facets of its mission and operations. The university prides itself on its collaborative and supportive environment, promoting growth for students, faculty, and staff alike, while contributing positively to the regional economy and society.
The Austin E. Cofrin School of Business at UW-Green Bay is seeking a Marketing and Events Coordinator to join its academic staff on a regular full-time basis. This pivotal role centers around enhancing the school's mission by establishing meaningful connections that support student success, community engagement, and expanded educational opportunities. The Marketing and Events Coordinator is a dynamic position responsible for leading strategic marketing communications, creating compelling content across digital and print mediums, and orchestrating high-impact events that unify students, alumni, employers, faculty, staff, and community partners.
In alignment with the university's core values and strategic priorities, including advancing fearlessly, empowering success, provisioning access, building community, and expressing gratitude, the Coordinator will serve as a catalyst for engagement. The role demands creativity as a storyteller and skillful relationship-builder who thrives in a collaborative, mission-driven setting. Responsibilities include working across academic programs, centers, and student organizations to develop marketing approaches that strengthen the Cofrin School of Business brand and execute engaging events that focus on students and employees. Furthermore, the Coordinator supports student leadership development and utilizes data-driven insights to refine marketing strategies and event outcomes.
The position requires planning and execution of most college-level student-facing and employee-facing events, often in collaboration with co-hosts and with assistance from a Student Engagement Assistant. Active participation in various engagement-related committees and working groups is also a critical facet of the role, contributing to recruitment, community relations, K12 educational partnerships, and campus programming. The Coordinator plays a vital role in organizing student programming and resources that promote ongoing educational initiatives and generates analytics reports to evaluate the effectiveness of events and marketing efforts.
Marketing responsibilities extend to overseeing college-level marketing strategies and implementations with support from a Student Marketing Assistant. This includes writing, editing, and publishing communication content that supports strategic initiatives and campaigns. The Coordinator serves as a primary point of contact for Cofrin School of Business student organizations, helping connect advisors and student leaders to necessary resources, managing signature event funds, and chairing the Student Leadership Council which functions as a student focus group. Additionally, the role provides assistance to centers by supporting brainstorming sessions, event planning, conference travel, social media management, student engagement, and recruitment of student workers.
This exempt position offers a minimum compensation of $46,115 and is based on the Green Bay campus. Occasional travel or work at Marinette, Sheboygan, or Manitowoc campuses may be required based on operational needs. The University offers an excellent benefits package that includes various health insurance plans with low deductibles, dental, vision, life insurance options, retirement system participation with full vesting, supplemental retirement savings, paid leave benefits including holidays and sick leave, and paid parental leave.
UW-Green Bay is an equal opportunity employer dedicated to building a diverse workforce that reflects various backgrounds and perspectives. The successful candidate will exemplify strong oral, written, and interpersonal skills, integrity, leadership, and the ability to work both independently and collaboratively. Together, the university community rises by embracing diversity, sustainability, and engaged citizenship, making this a rewarding position for candidates passionate about enriching student and community life through marketing and events coordination.
