Job Description
Alliance Highway Safety is a well-established organization dedicated to promoting highway safety through impactful community messaging, specifically targeting behaviors such as drinking and driving, texting and driving, wearing seatbelts, and speeding. This organization primarily collaborates with various state agencies and focuses its campaigns on sports, entertainment, and high school venues to effectively reach diverse audiences across the Southeast Region and beyond. Known for its commitment to saving lives by influencing positive changes in driving behavior, Alliance Highway Safety leverages partnerships, sponsorships, and public events to disseminate its campaigns broadly and with great impact.
The company operates an internship program designed to provide individuals with real-world experience in event marketing and corporate sponsorship management. As part of this program, interns have the unique opportunity to work alongside experienced professionals in the highway safety industry and contribute directly to the coordination and execution of numerous sponsorship events. These events occur in various settings including fairs, festivals, motorcycle rallies, racetracks, and multiple sporting events held throughout the Southeast and across the country.
As an intern with Alliance Highway Safety, you will be entrusted with a flexible and dynamic role that requires you to be outgoing, organized, and adaptable. The internship involves extensive travel (up to 75% of the time), allowing you to gain exposure to different communities and event environments while directly engaging with attendees to share life-saving safety messages. This hands-on experience is invaluable for those seeking to develop skills in event coordination, marketing, and corporate relations within a meaningful and impactful sector.
Additionally, interns will have responsibilities ranging from planning and coordinating travel arrangements to managing sponsorship campaign logistics, collaborating with venue coordinators such as school officials and sponsorship partners, and capturing valuable marketing data and photographic evidence at events. The internship also emphasizes communication and reporting skills, requiring detailed recaps and effective coordination with managers to maximize campaign impacts.
This role is ideal for candidates who enjoy travel, have a passion for community service, and are eager to work in a fast-paced, team-oriented atmosphere. Enthusiasm, proactivity, and the ability to manage multiple tasks efficiently are key attributes for success in this position. The program is scheduled from August 2026 through December 2026 and is particularly suitable for juniors and seniors who need to complete a semester-long internship as part of their graduation requirements. A bachelor’s degree is preferred, but the key focus remains on flexibility, communication, and organizational abilities.
