Job Description
Alliance Highway Safety is a dynamic organization dedicated to promoting impactful community messaging with a primary focus on highway safety programs across the Southeast Region of the United States. Specializing in targeted campaigns aimed at reducing dangerous driving behaviors such as drinking and driving, texting and driving, speeding, and not wearing seatbelts, Alliance Highway Safety utilizes a variety of platforms including sports, entertainment, and high school venues to reach diverse audiences. The organization partners directly with states and local agencies to deliver these critical messages in ways that resonate with communities and help save lives. With a reputation for effective sponsorship management and event marketing, Alliance Highway Safety stands as a leader in the highway safety sector, engaging with communities to foster safer driving habits.
This internship role is an exceptional opportunity for flexible, outgoing, and organized individuals interested in the fields of event marketing and corporate sponsorships. Through Alliance Highway Safety's robust internship program, participants will gain hands-on experience in coordinating a wide range of sponsorship events across the Southeast, including fairs, festivals, motorcycle rallies, racetracks, and sporting events. Interns will work closely with experienced staff, learning the intricacies of managing sponsorship campaigns from planning and booking to execution and reporting. This role provides invaluable exposure to professional networking by connecting interns with established experts in highway safety, fostering both personal and career growth. A significant component of the position includes travel—up to 75 percent of the time—to various event locations across the country, making it ideal for individuals who enjoy active and engaging work environments.
Interns will be responsible for staffing events, fulfilling set event metrics, coordinating travel arrangements, and collaborating with venue coordinators such as school leadership and sponsorship partners to ensure smooth operation and impactful messaging. The role also involves researching marketing tools, collecting program data, preparing detailed event recaps, and capturing photographs that highlight the effectiveness of marketing activations. Additional responsibilities include inventory management, ensuring sponsorship requirements like signage and announcements are met, and participating in team brainstorming sessions to enhance activation effectiveness. The internship runs from May 2026 through September 2026 and is stipend-based, providing foundational experience and professional development rather than a traditional salary. This position is perfect for juniors or seniors in college who need a semester-long internship to fulfill graduation requirements or those seeking to build practical skills in a dynamic industry environment.
