As an organization built by musicians for musicians, Focusrite Group embodies a deep passion for enabling people to unlock and realize their full creative potential. Their extensive product portfolio includes professional audio interfaces, innovative MIDI controllers, and studio-grade signal processing equipment, making Focusrite Group a unique company that brilliantly bridges technology and artistry. This special synergy positions the company as a vital player in the music technology sector, offering products that genuinely resonate with artists and creators alike.
The company is currently seeking to fill a part-time, exempt position based in El Segundo, California, offering a base salary ranging from $22 to $26 per hour for a 20-hour workweek, scheduled Monday through Friday from 1 PM to 5 PM. This opportunity is perfect for individuals early in their marketing careers who are eager to learn, ready to commit hard work, and excited about building a strong foundation in a passionate and experienced marketing department. The Americas marketing team at Focusrite Group functions as the creative and operational heart behind several renowned brands in the music technology space. These include Focusrite, recognized as the number one global audio interface brand; Novation, famous for its legendary synthesizers and MIDI controllers; ADAM Audio, a trusted reference monitor brand used in studios worldwide; and Oberheim and Sequential, two historic names in synthesizer history.
This role plays a central part within the marketing team, providing broad exposure to real-world marketing operations at scale. The position involves managing logistics for product seeding and demo orders, coordinating event activation logistics, supporting marketing campaigns, and maintaining stock levels of branded merchandise and materials. It also includes general office support duties, such as local driving, supply sourcing, and contributing to an organized and functional workspace.
An ideal candidate will thrive if they are tech-savvy, naturally curious about how technology connects and works, and find satisfaction in ensuring flawless logistics and detailed organization. Ownership, accountability, excellent communication skills, and the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently are crucial for success in this role. The company values individuals who are self-starters with a team-oriented mindset and who take pride in meticulous work and continuous learning. Physical capability to handle hands-on tasks and the ability to operate a motor vehicle with a valid California driver’s license are also required.
Joining Focusrite Group means working within a global brand that holds significant cultural cachet in the music industry, offering direct exposure to high-profile artist campaigns, brand activations, and marketing operations. Employees will report directly to the VP of Marketing, gaining exceptional visibility and opportunities for growth. The part-time schedule is designed to support career growth while accommodating other commitments, making it an excellent stepping-stone role for those passionate about marketing, events, and brand management in a creative and dynamic environment. Focusrite Group is committed to diversity, inclusion, and providing reasonable accommodation to qualified individuals, ensuring a supportive and equitable workplace for all employees.
