Agency across Allegan, Barry, Ionia, Kent, Montcalm, Muskegon, and Ottawa Counties. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or related field
  • three to five years of marketing and communications experience
  • proficiency in Microsoft 365 and Adobe Creative Cloud
  • experience with social media management tools
  • strong written and verbal communication skills
  • ability to manage multiple projects and prioritize
  • physical ability to lift up to 25 pounds
  • ability to sit for extended periods
  • valid application and resume submission
  • completion of online application by deadline
  • ability to travel locally occasionally
  • maintain confidentiality
  • adequate attention to detail and project focus

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in marketing, communications, or a related field
  • three to five years of experience in marketing and communications or equivalent combination of training and experience
  • thorough knowledge of marketing and communications principles and applications
  • demonstrated skills in writing, user experience (UX/UI), website management, systems administration, graphic design, event planning, photography, videography, and social media account management
  • proficiency in Microsoft 365 products including Teams, Outlook, PowerPoint, Excel, or SharePoint
  • experience with photo or video editing tools, Adobe Creative Cloud, HootSuite, WordPress, MailChimp, and Alchemer
  • mathematical ability for moderately complex calculations
  • ability to contribute to marketing plans, collateral, and reports
  • strong oral and written communication skills with public speaking experience
  • effective communication and problem-solving skills
  • planning, organizational, and project management skills
  • ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships
  • ability to maintain confidentiality
  • strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • exceptional customer service skills

Job Duties

  • Effectively communicate in person and through various media to internal and external audiences regarding ACSET and its brands
  • contribute to the development and coordination of marketing and communications activities
  • plan and conduct internal and external events and related activities
  • develop content for and manage multiple social media accounts
  • support organizational communication through intranet content management
  • coordinate advertising campaign logistics
  • create and maintain workflows, registration forms, and applications to support approval processes and programs
  • write, proof, and edit marketing and communications materials including promotional materials, ads, newsletters, text campaigns, and press releases
  • create, edit, and maintain content for multiple websites
  • prepare routine and special reports and dashboards
  • create, edit, and deploy electronic newsletters and text campaigns
  • design and edit static and animated graphic files for print and digital uses
  • coordinate in-house and vendor printing and acquisition of promotional items
  • monitor contracts and agreements
  • create and deliver presentations
  • create photos and videos using editing software and maintain media library
  • attend professional development activities and represent the organization at community events
  • build relationships locally and statewide to enhance service to residents
  • actively participate in continuous quality improvement processes
  • perform other assigned duties
