Job Requirements

  • Ability to work evenings, weekends, and holidays

Job Qualifications

  • Previous retail and food service experience recommended
  • fluency in the English language, spoken and written
  • ServSafe Certification or California Food Handler card is required within 30 days post-hire with on-site paid training and certification provided
  • ability to stand continuously and carry weights between 11-50+ pounds

Job Duties

  • Welcomes guests and provides expertise and assistance in the grocery department
  • creates beautiful and bountiful displays and keeps department displays neat, clean, accurately labeled, and organized
  • receives, organizes, and stocks all merchandise on the sales floor, refrigerated cases, backstock, and receiving areas
  • puts away inventory with attention to proper rotation and safety handling of perishable items
  • restocks high-volume products quickly
  • maintains cleanliness of shelves and sample displays by dusting and sweeping as needed
  • handles damaged, cut-of-date, spoiled, and returned products to meet department standards
