Job Description
Wonder is a pioneering mealtime platform that revolutionizes the way people enjoy food by providing an unmatched dining experience. Known for its innovative approach, Wonder allows customers to mix and match hundreds of dishes from more than 20 exclusive restaurants in a single order. This unique capability offers an unparalleled variety of cuisine all delivered with zero delivery fees, as well as options to dine-in or pick up orders at convenient Wonder locations. The company prides itself on maintaining superior quality by preparing each dish fresh on-site through its dedicated culinary team, ensuring every meal is served hot and up to the standards customers expect. Beyond just food delivery, Wonder operates every aspect of the dining experience from recipe development to the proprietary technology that powers its platform. This end-to-end control enables the company to guarantee quality, variety, and consistency at scale, setting Wonder apart in the competitive food service industry.
As a Market Operations Director at Wonder, you will play a crucial leadership role overseeing operational excellence across a multi-unit restaurant region that includes numerous cities and locations. This strategic position requires managing operations efficiently to drive guest satisfaction, uphold operational standards, and enhance profitability throughout the market. You will partner closely with restaurant leadership teams, providing guidance on daily operations, long-term business planning, and talent development initiatives. Being a part of the Operations Leadership Team, your influence ensures the successful execution of Wonder's strategic goals on the ground, fostering a performance-driven culture characterized by accountability and growth.
Your responsibilities will include serving as a motivational leader and an ambassador of Wonder's mission and values while spearheading the development of senior operations leaders to align with company objectives and growth plans. You will be directly involved in operational oversight by visiting locations, offering coaching, and leveraging data to pinpoint areas for performance improvement. Managing financial performance at the market level through effective P&L oversight is essential, as is maintaining stringent cost control. Talent management is a key facet of your role—you will oversee hiring, training, and succession planning to build robust teams capable of sustaining high performance.
Collaboration with cross-functional teams to evaluate growth opportunities and lead new restaurant openings through recruitment and operational setup forms a significant portion of your duties. Additionally, ensuring compliance across food safety and labor regulations safeguards the company’s standards and reputation. Your ability to drive operational improvements by identifying challenges and implementing targeted solutions will be vital to continuous success. You will also cultivate relationships with internal and external stakeholders to facilitate clear communication and organizational support. Leading performance evaluations and managing corrective actions will maintain sustained success across the market.
With a salary range of $138,000 to $159,000 per year, this role demands a results-oriented leader passionate about restaurant operations, talent cultivation, and strategic expansion. Frequent travel is required to cover the market, providing hands-on leadership and operational guidance. Reporting directly to the Regional Vice President, you will have the opportunity to make a significant impact within a fast-growing, dynamic environment committed to delivering exceptional dining experiences and expanding market presence. This is a compelling opportunity for experienced multi-unit restaurant management professionals eager to drive excellence across a geographically diverse restaurant portfolio.
