Job Description
Our company is a leading player in the wine industry, specializing in the management and growth of a diverse portfolio of wine brands. We are deeply committed to promoting exceptional wines across various markets in the United States, with a particular focus on expanding our presence in high-potential territories such as Southern California. As a company, we pride ourselves on our dedication to quality, customer relationships, and strategic market development. We work closely with distributors, retailers, and key accounts to ensure that our wines are not only available but also well-positioned and supported through innovative trade programs and brand education. Our team is composed of passionate professionals who love storytelling through wine, blending industry knowledge with creative marketing to deliver outstanding results for our portfolio and partners.
The role of Market Manager in Southern California is an exciting and dynamic opportunity designed for individuals who thrive in fast-paced environments and have a solid background in the wine industry. This is a key sales and marketing position responsible for driving sales growth and expanding brand distribution across a designated territory. As a Market Manager, you will play a crucial role in building and maintaining strong relationships with distributors and key trade accounts, executing trade promotions, leading tastings, and conducting brand education sessions aimed at enhancing visibility and increasing sales in both on-premise and off-premise channels.
This role demands a hands-on, strategic approach to market development, including the identification of new opportunities for emerging or underrepresented brands within our portfolio. You will work closely with distributor sales teams to grow brand placements, ensure consistent market activity, and plan supplier visits meticulously. Your efforts will directly contribute to achieving monthly and annual sales, depletion, and distribution goals, supporting the company’s broader portfolio strategy.
Additionally, you will lead distributor meetings and training sessions to communicate brand priorities effectively and collaborate with internal teams to support successful brand launches and long-term growth. This position requires exceptional organizational, communication, and execution skills, as well as the ability to manage multiple priorities independently. It also involves administrative responsibilities such as market activity reporting, inventory monitoring, and maintaining professional discretion with sensitive information.
Candidates for this role must have wine industry experience and demonstrate a high level of professionalism and reliability. Fluency in Italian or French is considered a plus but is not mandatory. The position offers an engaging work environment that encourages growth, innovation, and the sharing of a passion for wine. If you are someone who enjoys turning insights into actionable growth strategies, nurturing relationships, and driving brand visibility, this Market Manager role within our esteemed wine company could be your next great career move.
