Job Requirements

High school diploma or equivalent
Six months or less of experience in a related role
Ability to exert up to 50 pounds of force occasionally, up to 20 pounds frequently, and up to 10 pounds constantly
Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, feeling, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
Visual acuity including depth perception, color vision, and field of vision
Willingness to work night and weekend shifts
Ability to maintain personal hygiene and adhere to dress codes
Ability to follow company policies and store guidelines
Reliable attendance and punctuality

Job Qualifications

High school diploma or equivalent
Six months or less of similar or related work experience
Ability to solve practical problems with limited standardization
Ability to do simple addition and subtraction, copying figures, counting and recording
Ability to understand and follow verbal or demonstrated instructions
Ability to write identifying information and request supplies
Knowledge of food preparation and sanitation procedures
Strong customer service skills
Ability to work both independently and as part of a team

Job Duties

Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience in all customer interactions and treating customers as the most important people in the store
Smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner, whether the encounter takes place in the employee's designated department or elsewhere in the store
Makes an effort to learn customers' names and to address them by name whenever possible
Assists customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach products, loading/unloading heavy items, passing along customer requests, and enhancing the shopping experience
Answers the telephone promptly and provides friendly service
Works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
Prepares cooking surfaces and menu items including vegetables, sides, meats, breakfast foods
Places food in hot cases, monitors amounts, refills as necessary
Is knowledgeable of all menu items and able to take guests' orders
Prepares items for upcoming shifts
Ensures understanding of all Market Grille aspects
Practices proper sanitation and maintains clean work area
Maintains adherence to personal hygiene and dress guidelines
Adheres to company policies and store guidelines
Reports to work on time when scheduled
Provides direct customer service when necessary
Orders products and supplies or notifies management of needs
Assists in other store areas as needed
Performs other job-related duties and special projects as required
