Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 or older
  • high school diploma or equivalent
  • six months or less of similar or related experience
  • ability to exert physical force up to 50 pounds occasionally and up to 10 pounds constantly
  • ability to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, grasp, feel, talk, hear, and perform repetitive motions
  • ability to follow instructions
  • ability to do basic math
  • availability to work scheduled shifts

Job Duties

  • Provides prompt, efficient and friendly customer service
  • smiles and greets customers in a friendly manner
  • makes an effort to learn customers' names and address them by name
  • assists customers by escorting to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy items, noting and passing along customer suggestions, and enhancing shopping experience
  • answers telephone promptly and provides friendly service
  • works with co-workers as a team to ensure customer satisfaction
  • prepares cooking surfaces and various food items including vegetables, sides, meats, and breakfast foods
  • places food in hot cases, monitors amounts, and refills as necessary
  • knowledgeable of all menu items and able to take guest orders
  • prepares items for upcoming shifts
  • ensures understanding of all Market Grille aspects
  • practices proper sanitation and keeps work area clean
  • maintains adherence to hygiene and dress guidelines
  • follows company policies and store guidelines
  • reports to work scheduled and on time
  • provides direct customer service when necessary
  • orders products and supplies or notifies manager
  • assists in other store areas as needed
  • performs other job-related duties and special projects as required
