Job Requirements

  • Must be 18 or older
  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of related experience preferred
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds occasionally
  • Ability to perform physical activities including climbing, balancing, stooping, kneeling, reaching, standing, walking, pushing, pulling, lifting, grasping, talking, hearing, and repetitive motions
  • Ability to maintain visual acuity with or without correction
  • Willingness to complete pre-employment drug screening

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent
  • One year of similar or related experience preferred
  • Encouragement to complete sanitation (food safety) courses
  • Ability to lead and train employees
  • Strong customer service and communication skills
  • Ability to perform arithmetic calculations involving fractions, decimals, and percentages

  • Experience with inventory control

Job Duties

  • Provide prompt, efficient and friendly customer service by exhibiting caring, concern and patience
  • Smile and greet customers in a friendly manner in any part of the store
  • Learn customers' names and address them personally when possible
  • Assist customers by escorting them to products, securing out-of-reach items, loading/unloading heavy goods, noting and passing on customer suggestions
  • Answer telephone promptly and provide helpful service including taking product orders
  • Collaborate with co-workers to ensure customer satisfaction and a pleasant work environment
  • Check daily orders and set up timeline and production schedules
  • Review daily production list with employees and assign tasks
  • Ensure food display case products are rotated and replenished
  • Monitor and assign tasks to Market Grille staff regarding cleanliness, repairs, and safety
  • Ensure adequate staffing to meet customer needs
  • Monitor schedules and hours for minors and department overtime
  • Control inventory through continuous monitoring
  • Maintain clean and orderly supply area
  • Rotate perishable products with every delivery
  • Handle catering contracts
  • Follow and ensure compliance with food safety guidelines
  • Resolve customer issues effectively
  • Suggest advertisement items and order signage
  • Prepare intercom messages for in-store specials
  • Assist in monthly inventory including posting invoices and stock counting
  • Maintain proper sanitation procedures and work area cleanliness
  • Adhere to company policies and store guidelines
  • Work closely with restaurant and service staff
  • Be punctual and reliable
