Job Requirements
- Four-year degree in Business Administration, Marketing, Hotel and Restaurant Management, or equivalent hotel experience
- Minimum five years of sales experience in a similar sized hotel operation
- Proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, and Delphi FDC
- Knowledge of computer accounting programs and budgetary analysis
- Strong written and oral communication skills
- Excellent customer service skills
- Ability to manage time, resources, and personnel effectively
- Thorough understanding of travel industry and market trends

Job Duties
- Setting goals and action plans around proactive business and account maintenance
- Developing a marketing plan and collaborating with brand and ecommerce departments to optimize internet presence
- Building a guest-focused sales team that understands departmental processes and action plans
- Recording all business leads in Delphi and generating contracts, invoices, and reports while participating in daily sales strategies and forecasting
- Collaborating with Operations to keep them informed of group and meeting room business
- Coordinating with the front desk to ensure guests and potential guests’ business needs are met
- Working closely with the General Manager to ensure sales goals and market share targets are achieved and developing market and sales strategies
- Interviewing, hiring, training, and supervising sales staff through account reviews, correspondence monitoring, coaching, performance evaluations, and recommending disciplinary actions as needed
