The Maritime Instructor position at AIDT’s Maritime Training Center is a full-time role with a competitive salary range between $62,163 and $89,284 per year, reflecting the experience and qualifications of the successful candidate. This position requires a maritime professional with at least five years of documented industry experience in maritime structural fitting and/or structural welding. The instructor will be responsible for designing, developing, coordinating, and delivering instruction for NCCER (National Center for Construction Education and Research) Maritime Structural Fitter and Welding training courses. The primary work shift is the night shift, from 12 noon to 10:30 p.m., with potential for occasional day shifts based on program needs. This schedule requires flexibility and dedication to supporting the ongoing training and development needs of the maritime workforce.

In this role, the instructor will play a critical part in preparing students and trainees for careers in the maritime and shipbuilding sectors. The instructor's duties include hands-on demonstrations of key skills, administering various forms of assessments, maintaining training equipment and supplies, and ensuring a safe learning environment. Additionally, the instructor will monitor trainee progress, assist with scheduling, and collaborate with part-time instructors while adhering strictly to NCCER guidelines to maintain program integrity and confidentiality.
