The Manufacturing Technician C role is an exciting opportunity based at the Redmond, WA site, located in the Seattle area. This location specializes in the fabrication, assembly, and testing of chemical and electric thrusters as well as small-scale propulsion systems. These products support a variety of critical missions such as solar system exploration, global communications, and surveillance of severe weather and wildfires. The position follows a 1st shift 4/10 schedule, where employees work 10 hours per day from Monday to Thursday, from 5:30 AM to 4:00 PM. This role offers a competitive hourly wage ranging from $27.40 to $49.04, with the final compensation dependent on experience and geographic location.

As a Manufacturing Technician C, you will be responsible for a range of precise mechanical assembly tasks, including the assembly and testing of rocket engines. The work involves small mechanical precision assembly using standard assembly tools, and may extend to final assemblies, quality testing, and rework activities. Key responsibilities include working with precision parts within controlled environments such as laminar flow areas, troubleshooting mechanical assemblies and manufacturing tools, and assisting in methods development to optimize the manufacturing process. You will be expected to read and interpret detailed product drawings, process specifications, and department procedures to ensure accuracy and quality of the assemblies. Strong collaboration skills are vital, as you will coordinate with maintenance, engineering, supervision, and other departments to ensure smooth operation and timely completion of work.

This role also demands proficiency in mathematical calculations and computer usage, including ERP systems for retrieving work instructions and managing manufacturing modules. Critical to success in this role is the ability to maintain cooperative relationships within the team, communicate effectively with various organizational levels, and prioritize tasks to meet project deadlines. The position may involve additional duties such as production of parts and metal fabrication as needed.
