Job Description
Bloom Energy is a pioneering company dedicated to creating a cleaner, more sustainable future by advancing innovative energy solutions. With over two decades of experience at the forefront of the global energy transition, Bloom Energy specializes in solid oxide fuel cell (SOFC) and solid oxide electrolyzer (SOEC) technologies. These cutting-edge technologies deliver clean, reliable, and affordable energy to critical industries ranging from AI-driven data centers to hospitals, electric grids, manufacturing entities, and utility providers. Bloom Energy has successfully deployed more than 30,000 fuel cell modules worldwide, making it a trusted partner for many Fortune 100 companies and innovative enterprises seeking to stay ahead in an increasingly energy-demanding world. The company is headquartered in Fremont, California, and focuses on collaboration, bold thinking, and relentless innovation to tackle the pressing energy challenges of the 21st century.
Bloom Energy is currently hiring a Manufacturing Team Lead for their Fremont, CA facility. This is a full-time, on-site, in-office role reporting directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor. The Manufacturing Team Lead will play a critical role in overseeing the on-the-floor manufacturing activities to ensure that all operations are performed safely, efficiently, and in compliance with company EHS policies and procedures. They will lead and mentor a technical team, helping them troubleshoot issues and adhere to quality standards daily. The role requires close coordination with engineering and manufacturing teams to communicate unit findings and ensure seamless operations.
Key responsibilities include managing Oracle transactions and tracking material movement, conducting cycle counts and overseeing inventory management, and creating, documenting, and sustaining standardized work practices. The Manufacturing Team Lead is also tasked with identifying and eliminating non-value-added waste in the manufacturing process to improve cost-effectiveness. Strong leadership and communication skills are essential for this role, as it involves managing team performance, reporting attendance and quality issues to supervisors, and running the assembly team from a process standpoint. The position offers salary ranges between $23.66 and $34.04 per hour, depending on skills and experience, along with standard company benefits. This opportunity is ideal for motivated self-starters with a passion for manufacturing excellence and sustainability in advanced energy technology.
