The Manufacturing Team Lead role based in Fremont, CA represents an exciting opportunity to contribute to one of today's most transformative technologies. This fully on-site position reports directly to the Manufacturing Supervisor and supports day-shift manufacturing activities with a schedule of 6am to 6pm, Thursday through Saturday, including every alternating Wednesday. The Manufacturing Team Lead will be responsible for overseeing manufacturing floor operations while ensuring compliance with environmental health and safety (EHS) policies. Key responsibilities include maintaining quality standards, facilitating inventory management through Oracle transactions and IoT, and providing ongoing updates to engineering and manufacturing teams. This role demands leadership in training and mentoring a technical team, instilling best practices for troubleshooting and production efficiency. An essential part of the position involves identifying and eliminating non-value added waste through lean manufacturing principles and sustaining standardized work practices. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong interpersonal and communication skills to coordinate cross-functional activities, coupled with a proactive and safety-conscious work ethic. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma required
  • AA degree preferred
  • Strong interpersonal, oral and written communication skills
  • Demonstrated leadership skills
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite
  • Motivated self-starter and team player
  • Must demonstrate safe work practices and attention to detail
  • Familiar with lean manufacturing principles
  • Experience creating standardized work
  • Experience completing station audits
  • Experience completing process technician responsibilities preferred
  • Must be flexible to work fluctuating schedules
  • Must be able to lift 15 lbs
  • Must have manual dexterity
  • Must wear Personal Protective Equipment (PPE)

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma required, AA degree preferred

Job Duties

  • Maintain on-the-floor manufacturing activities following EHS policies and procedures
  • Ensure all quality requirements are met and team members adhere to these daily
  • Manage Oracle transactions and IoT for material movement between plants and processes
  • Provide updates on unit findings to engineering and manufacturing teams
  • Conduct cycle counts and inventory management
  • Create, document, and sustain standardized work practices
  • Train and mentor technical team members with a hands-on approach to troubleshoot
  • Report attendance, quality, or performance issues to the Manufacturing Supervisor
  • Run the assembly team from a process standpoint and communicate issues with supervisor/manager
  • Identify non-value added waste within manufacturing processes and recommend cost-effective solutions
  • Perform other duties as assigned
