The role of Manufacturing Supervisor I/II is a vital leadership position within the SVP manufacturing department, which encompasses aseptic manufacturing activities such as compounding, filtration, filling, lyophilization, and packaging. The supervisor is responsible for overseeing assigned manufacturing operations, ensuring compliance with cGMP (current Good Manufacturing Practices), and maintaining high safety and quality standards throughout production processes. This position requires daily communication with management and peers to report operational status and address production issues promptly.

This role demands a hands-on leader capable of reviewing and updating manufacturing documentation, providing comprehensive training, generating and maintaining standard operating procedures and batch production records, and supervising hourly employee performance. The Manufacturing Supervisor I/II will also conduct deviation investigations and implement corrective actions, manage supply orders, prepare production reports, analyze product costs, and assist with budgeting. They will be responsible for interviewing new employees, coaching staff, conducting performance evaluations, and supporting disciplinary actions in conjunction with higher management.

Additionally, the supervisor will analyze capital expenditures and recommend efficiency improvements to manufacturing processes. Collaboration with supporting departments like Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and Production Inspection Control is critical to quickly resolving production line problems while upholding quality standards. The role also involves scheduling validation of processes and equipment and ensuring environmental monitoring limits are maintained.

Located at the Spokane, WA facility, this is a full-time, onsite position with a weekend nights shift schedule from Friday to Sunday, 6 pm to 6 am. The hiring wage ranges from $39.57 to $53.53 per hour plus a 15 percent shift differential, offering competitive compensation with room for growth and development. Job Requirements

  • High school diploma
  • 2 years of progressive responsible manufacturing roles
  • 2 or more years of supervisory experience
  • experience in aseptic manufacturing areas preferred
  • ability to work weekend night shifts

  • ability to communicate effectively with team and management
  • compliance with cGMP and safety protocols

Job Qualifications

  • High school diploma
  • bachelor of science in biology, chemistry, or related hard science strongly preferred
  • minimum 2 years of progressive manufacturing experience
  • at least 2 years of supervisory experience
  • experience in aseptic manufacturing environments strongly preferred

Job Duties

  • Supervise assigned manufacturing operations including processing source materials, equipment preparation, aseptic filtration, filling, lyophilization, inspection, and packaging
  • review and update manufacturing documentation
  • provide cGMP, job task, and safety training for manufacturing personnel
  • generate, update, and maintain Standard Operating Procedures and Batch Production Records
  • ensure compliance with cGMP and safety regulations through observation, training, and auditing
  • supervise hourly employee performance and adherence to SOPs and regulations
  • perform deviation investigations and implement corrective actions
  • order production supplies and equipment
  • prepare production-monitoring reports and participate in product cost analysis and budgeting
  • interview new employees and conduct coaching, counseling, and performance evaluations
  • analyze capital expenditures and recommend efficiency improvements
  • collaborate with Quality Assurance, Maintenance, and other departments to resolve production issues
