We are seeking a Manufacturing Supervisor to join our Manufacturing department on the 2nd shift in Albany, Oregon. This position is critical to our daily operations, emphasizing safety, quality, team morale, and operational excellence. The Manufacturing Supervisor will oversee production activities to ensure output targets are met without compromising food quality or safety standards. This leadership role demands hands-on involvement, mentorship, and the ability to foster a collaborative and high-performing team environment. The ideal candidate will bring at least four years of manufacturing experience, preferably within the food industry, and will have a strong understanding of GMP, FDA, USDA, HACCP, and OSHA standards to maintain regulatory compliance. The Manufacturing Supervisor will manage workflows, equipment, inventory, and raw materials, while troubleshooting operational challenges to minimize downtime and maximize productivity. This role also involves collaborating cross-functionally with departments such as Maintenance, Quality, Safety, HR, and R&D to align production strategies and optimize performance.

As an integral leader, you will support recruiting, onboarding, and development initiatives, managing schedules, timecards, and resource allocation to meet both team needs and business objectives. The position offers a Monday through Friday schedule from 2:00 PM to 11:00 PM, providing a consistent second-shift work environment. Oregon Freeze Dry provides a dynamic workplace, including office, manufacturing, and outdoor spaces, where employees must be comfortable working with varied temperatures and food allergens, and capable of performing physical activities such as walking, standing, climbing, bending, and handling tools.

Job Requirements

  • Minimum of four years of experience in manufacturing
  • Associate’s degree in relevant field
  • Knowledge of GMP, FDA, USDA, HACCP, and OSHA standards
  • Ability to troubleshoot operational issues
  • Excellent communication skills

  • Ability to work independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Physical capability to perform manufacturing duties including walking, standing, climbing, bending, and handling tools

Job Qualifications

  • Minimum of four years of experience in manufacturing, preferably in the food industry
  • Associate’s degree in Business Administration, Operations Management, Supply Chain Management, or Food Science required
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Strong understanding of manufacturing processes with a proven ability to identify and troubleshoot operational issues
  • Knowledge of GMP, FDA, USDA, HACCP, and OSHA standards
  • Experience using root cause analysis tools such as 5 Whys and Fishbone diagrams
  • Excellent communication skills and a collaborative mindset
  • Demonstrated leadership ability to motivate teams and drive accountability
  • Comfortable working independently in a fast-paced environment
  • Strategic thinker with the ability to translate high-level goals into actionable plans
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office
  • experience with ERP systems, Redzone, ADP, Alchemy, or similar platforms is a plus

Job Duties

  • Oversee day-to-day production activities to meet output targets while maintaining safety, food quality, and regulatory compliance
  • Supervise, train, and mentor hourly production staff, fostering a collaborative and high-performing team culture
  • Manage workflows, equipment, inventory, and raw materials to support smooth operations and timely product releases
  • Troubleshoot and escalate process, equipment, and personnel issues to minimize downtime and maintain productivity
  • Collaborate with cross-functional departments including Maintenance, Quality, Safety, HR, and R&D to align operations and drive performance
  • Manage schedules, timecards, and resource allocation to support team needs and business goals
  • Support recruiting, onboarding, and development of new team members
  • Champion OFD’s culture by promoting inclusivity, safety, and respect in the workplace
