The Manufacturing Supervisor role at Bloom Energy is an exciting opportunity for professionals interested in leading manufacturing teams within a cutting-edge energy technology environment. Reporting directly to the Manufacturing Manager, this role is fully on-site and involves working the day shift from 6am to 6pm, Sunday through Tuesday, including every alternating Wednesday. The position plays a critical role in managing and motivating a team responsible for meeting production goals while continuously improving safety, quality, and efficiency.
Key responsibilities include supervising team leads, developing and sustaining standardized work practices, implementing scalable production workflows, and leading problem-solving initiatives to overcome operational challenges. The Manufacturing Supervisor will also coordinate scheduling, manage disciplinary actions, and drive employee development through performance management and training programs. The role demands a proactive approach to data-driven decision making, production reporting, and adherence to safety and housekeeping standards including 5S methodologies.
Candidates in this role should possess a strong foundation in manufacturing or operations leadership, with at least three years of supervisory experience and proficiency in continuous improvement and lean manufacturing principles. A high school diploma is required, though an associate or bachelor's degree is preferred. The position demands excellent problem-solving capabilities, effective communication skills, and the ability to work collaboratively across all levels of the plant. Physical requirements include the ability to stand or walk for extended periods and occasionally lift moderate weights.

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Associate or bachelor’s degree preferred
- 3+ years of supervisory experience in a manufacturing/operations environment
- Experience working with production systems
- scale up manufacturing, volume production, linear production, using continuous improvement/TPS/lean manufacturing methods
- Proficient with interviewing, training, developing, and handling disciplinary matters
- Computer systems knowledge including proficiency with MS Office programs
- Strong data analysis and data driven decision making skills
- Resourceful problem solver with proven ability to bring quick resolution to 1st level floor issues with regards to equipment, process, or manpower
- Excellent oral and written communication skills
- Strong interpersonal skills and tact needed to interact with all levels in the plant
- Organized with good planning and time management skills
Job Duties
- Oversee team leads, team members, and other resources in achieving the production schedule while improving safety, quality, and efficiency
- Supervise and motivate a manufacturing team to create a culture of personal responsibility, accountability, and continuous improvement
- Create, document, and sustain standardized work practices
- Develop and implement production scalability, workflow plans
- Implement new assembly process and operations
- Initiate and facilitate problem solving groups to resolve issues in order to meet the current and future needs of the company
- Achieve quality and productivity metrics
- Manage team members work schedule, time off, and department allocation
- Develop employee versatility plans
- Lead performance management process and provide recommendations for compensation changes
- Manage any disciplinary actions required
- Initiate, coordinate, and manage inventory cost control programs
- Prepare and maintain production reports
- Utilize data to pin-point root cause of defects and production challenges
- Enforce all safety policies to promote a safe and inclusive work group
- Develop and implement 5S and housekeeping programs
- Achieve technical training and versatility required to obtain domain expertise
- Flexibility to work on any of the shifts, or in any area of the plant, based on production needs
- Performs other related duties as assigned
