The Manufacturing Equipment Operator position at Baker Hughes is an essential role within the Oilfield Services business. This role involves working directly in the manufacturing environment, serving as part of a world-class team focused on producing high-quality equipment that meets rigorous standards. The Manufacturing Equipment Operator will monitor, set up, and operate various manufacturing equipment pieces to support production requirements efficiently. This role carries a blend of hands-on mechanical involvement and quality assurance responsibilities following manufacturing, engineering, and ISO specifications. Work schedules are designed with flexibility in mind, including options such as a 4/3 rotational shift with 12-hour shifts, to accommodate different work-life balance preferences.
As a Manufacturing Equipment Operator, you will be entrusted with operating a range of machinery including rewinding, tape lining, packaging, tape/braider, maglining, plastic extruder, and equipment known as Amor. The role may involve multitasking by operating multiple machines simultaneously, requiring mechanical aptitude and precision to maintain quality and safety standards. Patching, splicing cable, and conducting repairs will also be part of daily responsibilities. Furthermore, the position may require using general hand tools and precision measuring equipment, as well as the operation of material handling machinery such as overhead cranes following certification.

Job Requirements
- high school diploma or GED
- 6 months of manufacturing experience preferred
- ability to read and interpret routine instructions
- ability to perform basic mathematical calculations
- good mechanical aptitude, use of general hand tools and precision measuring equipment
- ability to operate material moving equipment/overhead crane and/or obtain certification
