Job Description

AGI (Ag Growth International) is a leading global food-based infrastructure company with a substantial international presence and a reputation for excellence in agricultural equipment and technology solutions. Publicly traded in Canada, AGI employs more than 3,800 people and manages over 30 global manufacturing brands. The company specializes in providing innovative equipment and tailored engineering solutions for agricultural commodities including seed, fertilizer, grain, and feed systems. AGI also supports an expanding platform for food processing facilities, helping ensure the seamless storage, blending, mixing, conveying, conditioning, and processing of agricultural products worldwide. Its operations are supported by extensive sales and service teams distributed globally, with state-of-the-art manufacturing facilities located in several countries including Canada, the United States, Brazil, India, France, and Italy.

The Manufacturing and Quality Engineering Manager role is based in Sioux Falls, South Dakota, and is a pivotal leadership position driving manufacturing excellence and quality assurance in a dynamic and fast-paced environment. This role combines robust hands-on technical expertise with comprehensive leadership responsibilities, focusing on elevating manufacturing processes and quality management systems. The manager will lead strategic initiatives to optimize production workflows, implement continuous improvement programs, and ensure rigorous compliance with both internal standards and external regulations. This position demands a collaborative approach as it serves as a liaison between the engineering, production, and quality departments to secure product integrity, operational efficiency, safety compliance, cost control, and overall customer satisfaction.

This opportunity presents significant challenges and rewards for a manufacturing and quality engineering professional looking to make a considerable impact on the company’s operational performance. The successful candidate will be responsible for establishing standard work procedures, driving capacity planning, balancing production lines, resolving floor issues, eliminating bottlenecks, and ensuring quality management system ownership. They will also lead corrective action processes, maintain compliance with calibration and welding qualifications, and reduce the cost of quality by minimizing scrap, rework, warranty claims, and customer issues.

A vital part of this role is developing and leading engineering and quality teams through clear expectations and accountability, embedding a culture of engagement and safety on the production floor. This manager will build future leaders and collaborate closely with operations leadership and other cross-functional teams such as supply chain and sales to maintain alignment with company goals. The position also supports Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) through capacity and capability readiness and oversees fast and structured responses to customer issues and escalations.

By joining AGI, the manager will be part of a company deeply committed to strengthening and securing the global food supply chain, dedicated to safety, innovation, and customization. AGI fosters a workplace culture built on safety and teamwork, encouraging diverse and inclusive collaboration to deliver quality products worldwide. Employees at AGI benefit from competitive salaries, comprehensive benefits packages, professional development opportunities, and an employee share purchase plan, all designed to promote career growth and personal well-being.
