The Managing Partner role at Texas Roadhouse represents a unique opportunity for entrepreneurial individuals to lead and operate their own restaurant within this successful brand. Your role will be multifaceted, combining leadership, financial management, human resources, and operations to maintain the highest standards of performance. Responsibilities will include hiring and developing the management and hourly teams, enforcing employment policies, managing inventory, and overseeing cleanliness and safety protocols. You will be accountable for achieving business goals through effective scheduling, cost control, and vendor management, as well as conducting performance evaluations, coaching, and disciplinary actions when necessary. With a keen focus on maintaining compliance with liquor laws and responsible service guidelines, you will ensure that the restaurant operates smoothly and ethically.

Job Requirements

  • 2 plus years or more as a GM, MP, or Multi-Unit manager in a full-service concept
  • Excellent communication and organizational skills
  • The ability to problem solve and handle stress in a high-volume environment
  • Managing Partners are required to make an initial monetary deposit and enter into an employment agreement with Texas Roadhouse

Job Qualifications

  • 2 plus years or more as a General Manager, Managing Partner, or Multi-Unit manager in a full-service concept
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Strong organizational abilities
  • Proven leadership skills
  • Ability to problem solve and handle stress in a high-volume environment
  • Experience in managing budgets and P&L
  • Knowledge of food safety and labor regulations
  • Experience in employee training and development

Job Duties

  • Enforcing compliance with all employment policies with assistance from the management team
  • Directing work of management team including setting weekly management schedules and assigning areas of responsibility to Restaurant Managers
  • Managing performance of management team including conducting weekly management directionals, performance evaluations, coaching, and discipline
  • Reviewing applications, interviewing, and hiring management and hourly employees
  • Providing ultimate oversight over all food, labor, and liquor costs
  • Providing ultimate oversight over compliance with applicable liquor laws and Responsible Alcohol Service guidelines
  • Managing food costs, tracking waste, and controlling labor costs
  • Managing weekly and monthly P&L
  • Planning, preparing, and overseeing weekly, monthly, and yearly inventories and budgets
  • Verifying audit, ESF, daily Taste & Temp, and training standards are being maintained
  • Overseeing the cleanliness of the restaurant
  • Enforcing appropriate security measures at the restaurant so that the safety of our employees and guests are maintained at all times
  • Overseeing incentive programs for management and hourly staff members
  • Overseeing development of key employees and managers including training in employment policies and practices
  • Understanding, managing, and practicing safe food handling procedures
  • Acting as primary liaison with all store vendors and support center contacts
  • Maintaining culture of the restaurant and living our core values every day including passion, integrity, partnership, and fun with purpose
