The role of Managing Partner (Proprietor) at Carrabba's Italian Grill is a dynamic and hands-on leadership position that demands expertise in all facets of restaurant operations, both front and back of the house. This role involves managing P&L cost centers while actively engaging with employees and guests on a daily basis. The Managing Partner is expected to be highly involved in staff development, operational excellence, and customer satisfaction. This position is not just about managing but leading by example, ensuring that every aspect of the restaurant meets the highest brand standards. The Managing Partner will be accountable for complying with company policies, maintaining safety and sanitation, managing inventory, and driving initiatives that boost sales and profitability.

Job Requirements

Minimum 3-5 years of managerial experience
Proven leadership in restaurant management
Ability to manage P&L cost centers
Experience in both front and back of house operations
Legal authorization to work in the United States
Must be at least 21 years old
Eligibility to hold a state liquor license
Willingness to work flexible schedules including nights and weekends
Excellent organizational and time-management skills
Strong customer service and interpersonal skills
Ability to train, motivate, and develop a team
Compliance with safety, sanitation, and regulatory standards
Strong ethical judgment and adherence to company code of ethics

Job Qualifications

Minimum 3-5 years of years of experience in a managerial role, general manager experience preferred
Full casual dining or casual plus environment, preferred
Demonstrate ability to deliver outstanding guest service and handle guest complaints professionally
Knowledge of maintaining high standards of food quality and service
Proven ability to recruit, train, and motivate a team, fostering a positive work environment and high employee retention
Hands-on experience in all facets of front of house and back of house
Availability to work a flexible schedule (nights & weekends)
Minimum 21 years of age with legal authorization to work in the United States
Must qualify to hold a state liquor license
Must be able and willing to work in the front-of-the-house and back-of-the-house
Associate or bachelor's degree preferred
Computer proficiency (particularly MS Office Suite and Outlook) preferred
Bilingual, a plus
Ability to relocate, a strong plus
Previous exposure to a scratch kitchen, a big advantage

Job Duties

Managing all employees to maintain high employment quality standards consistent with the Carrabba's Italian Grill Brand (including hiring, development, counseling, promotion, discipline and termination as appropriate)
Maintaining all employee files and ensuring that all required documentation is complete and accurate
Ensuring that the restaurant is fully staffed, and employees are trained in all aspects of job responsibilities
Implementing effective security protocols to always ensure the ongoing safety of both our employees and guests
Respond to complaints, with the goal of turning dissatisfied guests into return guests
Developing initiatives to build sales, profitability and guest counts
Verifying that all menu items are made according to the recipe and that presentation is up to Carrabba's Italian Grill standards
