The Lady D Hotel, an exciting new project under HHM Hotels, is set to become a landmark in Midtown Manhattan. Currently undergoing a complete renovation and strategic repositioning, the Lady D Hotel aims to establish itself as a premier boutique property. Located in the vibrant heart of New York City, just steps away from iconic landmarks such as Bryant Park, Times Square, and Fifth Avenue, this property promises to blend luxury with the dynamic energy of Manhattan's lifestyle market. HHM Hotels is seeking a Managing Director to lead the pre-opening, launch, and ongoing operations of the Lady D Hotel. This role offers a unique opportunity to oversee all aspects of hotel management, from building the team during the pre-opening phase to ensuring operational excellence once the hotel is fully functional.

The Managing Director will be instrumental in setting the tone for high-touch personalized guest experiences that meet the expectations of the competitive Manhattan market. This position entails full ownership of hotel operations with a focus on maximizing profits while maintaining impeccable service standards. The successful candidate will demonstrate strong leadership capabilities, guiding a diverse team towards collaboration, innovation, and accountability. Financial acumen will be critical, as the role requires developing and executing strategies to optimize revenue and manage expenses effectively. Job Requirements

  • Five years of experience in operations management or a similar leadership role in a hotel
  • Proven experience in a hotel opening specifically within a lifestyle property
  • Associate or Bachelor’s degree in business hospitality or a related field preferred
  • Strong financial acumen and the ability to develop budgets and manage performance
  • Ability to set clear expectations and provide guidance necessary to achieve exceptional performance

Job Duties

  • Lead the strategic planning and execution of the hotel opening including staff recruitment training and the implementation of core values
  • Lead inspire and mentor a diverse team cultivating a culture of collaboration innovation and accountability
  • Ensure the highest level of guest satisfaction by overseeing the implementation of service standards personalized experiences and swift resolution of any issues
  • Develop and execute strategies to maximize revenue optimize expenses and achieve budgetary goals through regular financial analysis
  • Maintain a seamless operation by overseeing all hotel departments including front office housekeeping and maintenance while following sustainability guidelines
  • Foster a culture of continuous learning and professional development empowering team members to excel and advance within the organization
