The role available is based in San Francisco within the People & Talent team. This department is committed to attracting and nurturing the brightest minds to ensure Airwallex continues to thrive as a market leader. The Workplace Experience Manager plays a key role in this endeavor by managing the day-to-day operation and experience of Airwallex’s physical workplaces, including the San Francisco office and other regional hubs. This full-time, salaried position requires presence in the office from Monday through Thursday, 9 am to 5 pm. The candidate will supervise all aspects of facilities management, vendor relationships, and budgeting, ensuring efficient space utilization and smooth operations aligned with company policies and local regulations. The manager will provide leadership and insights through monitoring key performance indicators around space use and in-person engagement. Furthermore, this role fosters a warm and engaging workplace culture by organizing in-office employee events, spearheading culture initiatives, and supporting the People & Talent team operationally. A small team of 1-2 workplace staff, both full-time and contract, will report to this role.

The position offers a competitive compensation range of $150,000 to $200,000, commensurate with experience and expertise in workplace experience, employee engagement, or hospitality management. Job Requirements

  • 5 years in a people-focused role such as workplace experience, employee engagement, office management, facilities, or hospitality events management
  • 1-2 years of experience managing people, vendors, or cross-functional projects with demonstrated leadership capability

Job Duties

  • Oversee all facilities management and services for the San Francisco office and regional hubs
  • Manage the Workplace budget including operating expenses and cost-effective space optimization
  • Establish and enforce Workplace objectives, policies, and operating procedures ensuring compliance with health and safety regulations
  • Track key performance indicators such as in-person metrics and space efficiency to provide actionable insights
  • Cultivate and manage vendor partnerships for real estate, property management, food and beverage programs
  • Lead cross-functional project planning with IT, Finance, Security, and HR for office builds and manage workplace communications
  • Provide first-instance support for office equipment and facilities in partnership with IT
  • Coordinate all in-office employee events and serve on the Culture Committee
  • Manage workplace and wellbeing projects alongside global Workplace Experience leads
  • Create and manage a welcoming guest experience and scalable guest management system
  • Provide operational support to the People & Talent team including assistance with hiring, onboarding/offboarding, benefits administration, and systems administration
  • Assist with onsite interviews and improving candidate experience
  • Serve as backup support for People Operations and Talent teams and manage a small Workplace Experience team of 1-2 people including full-time staff and contractors
