The role of Transportation Supervisor at US Foods is pivotal in overseeing and managing the team of drivers and transportation associates. The responsibility includes participating in hiring processes, conducting performance reviews, and taking necessary disciplinary actions to maintain a high-performing team. Given the nature of the work, some travel is required to attend mandatory meetings and training sessions.

Physically, the role demands the ability to perform a variety of activities such as driving trucks, standing, walking, lifting, and carrying items of varying weights. It requires a balance of office-based work involving data analysis and planning with hands-on presence on the road and in the warehouse environment. Candidates for this position should have a minimum of three years of experience in transportation, delivery, or warehouse distribution, along with at least one year of supervisory experience. Experience as a driver is considered an advantage. A high school diploma or GED is required, with a preference for candidates holding a college degree.
