This opportunity is part of Alcon's Supply Chain function, located at the Manufacturing Facility in Fort Worth, TX. The Supply Chain team plays a vital role in managing logistics, inventory, and supply chain analytics to ensure that Alcon's market-leading products are delivered efficiently and reliably so that people around the world can see brilliantly. This role is focused on optimizing end-to-end supply planning execution, partnering with global Sales and Operations Planning (S&OP) and manufacturing teams to align business processes and strategies. The position demands leadership in incorporating supply chain standards, governance, and process enhancements while leveraging advanced planning systems and technologies such as SAP ECC, SAP IBP, Kinaxis, or OMP to drive continuous improvement.

The individual contributor will serve as a subject matter expert on supply planning systems, collaborating globally with surgical and vision care franchises and cross-functional stakeholders to assess strategic, tactical, and operational planning improvements. This includes implementing forecasting and planning optimizations, enabling AI and decision intelligence capabilities, and prioritizing change requests within supply planning systems. The role also supports training and development initiatives to elevate supply planning maturity across the global network. Working onsite Monday through Friday from 8:00 AM to 5:00 PM CST, this position offers a dynamic work environment with up to 10% travel and an excellent platform for professionals with supply chain, manufacturing, or related industry experience to grow their careers at a company dedicated to improving eye health worldwide.

Job Qualifications

Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
5 years of relevant experience
ability to fluently read, write, understand and communicate in English
preferred bachelor's degree in business administration, supply chain, IT, or engineering
broad understanding of supply chain, forecasting, and planning in medical device or related industry
experience with advanced planning systems such as SAP IBP, Kinaxis, or OMP
experience working with manufacturing plants
intercultural experience and ability to act in complex, rapidly changing environments

Job Duties

Partner with global S&OP and manufacturing planning teams to optimize end-to-end supply planning execution
measure organizational performance and maintain strategy, process, and systems aligned with business needs
provide leadership to incorporate standards and implement network supply-planning governance
identify new features and functionality for supply planning systems and assess business value
collaborate with software vendors and IT COE to evaluate system upgrades and conduct impact assessments
serve as supply planning functional subject matter expert for system integrations like SAP ECC
collaborate with surgical and vision care franchises to assess strategic, tactical, and operational supply planning improvements
partner with S&OP and manufacturing teams to prioritize business process improvements and enable advanced planning system functionalities
review and recommend manufacturing network strategy and optimal supply planning system configuration
coordinate testing and provide signoff on deployment and migration of new functionalities
develop business cases for APS initiatives and enhancements
define education and training needs and provide coaching to planning analysts
review user requirement specifications and provide approvals
collaborate with global teams to provide end-to-end strategic direction for planning parameters
identify and implement key performance indicators and continuously monitor effectiveness
