The role of Sanitation Manager at Factor_, a respected brand within HelloFresh, is critical in maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and food safety in the production facility. Working on the Sunday to Wednesday night shift starting at 7:30 pm, the Sanitation Manager will develop, implement, and continuously improve sanitation programs, policies, and key performance indicators (KPIs) to meet strict Factor standards as well as food safety and regulatory requirements. This position holds a pivotal responsibility in managing sanitation chemical supplies, maintaining comprehensive cleaning procedures and schedules, and ensuring all sanitation-related safety protocols are strictly followed.

This leadership role demands a hands-on approach in training sanitation teams, fostering strong relationships across departments and with vendors, and actively participating in audits and inspections to maintain compliance with safety and quality standards. The Sanitation Manager will lead by example, inspiring and motivating teams towards career development and operational excellence. Job Requirements

Bachelor's degree in food science or related business equivalent
2-4 years of plant quality, food safety, sanitation experience
Knowledge of GMP, HACCP and Environmental sanitation program
Must have the knowledge and skills required to work in a fast paced and challenging environment
Excellent communication, presentation, interpersonal, and time management skills
Must display strong leadership qualities
Experience with third party regulatory agencies such as SQF, FDA, USDA is preferred
Understands and can apply basic microbiological principles

Job Qualifications

Job Duties

Develop and implement strategic sanitation programs, policies, and procedures to ensure that sanitary performance meets Factor standards as well as supports Food Safety requirements and regulatory compliance
Maintain and write detailed procedures and SOPs for all plant equipment
Maintain and update master cleaning schedule for plant according to GMP and Factor guidelines
Manage sanitation chemical supply and inventory
Build and maintain relationships with hourly associates, managers, carrier partners, vendors, and various departments within HelloFresh
Effectively engage, coach, motivate and lead the sanitation team for career progression and development
Participate in audits, facility inspections and coordinate pre-operational inspection with QA Management
Develop and implement all sanitation related training for sanitation and plant employees as needed
Ensure all safety requirements related to sanitation are met including proper chemical storage, MSDS, PPE and procedures
Other duties as assigned
