Job Description
Philadelphia's nightlife scene is vibrant and eclectic, and at the heart of it stands one of the city's premier restaurant and entertainment groups. With over two decades of experience, this group has been dedicated to delivering top-notch live music, DJ performances, and an unparalleled nightlife experience to Philadelphia's most fun-loving crowds. Operating three unique venues, the group prides itself on combining excellent food, cold drinks, and exceptional entertainment for diverse audiences. Each venue not only serves as a hotspot for quality nightlife but also as a hub for community and culture where both local and national talent come together to create unforgettable nights. The company culture emphasizes professionalism, reliability, and a passionate commitment to elevating guest experiences through outstanding service and compelling entertainment.
The role of Nightclub Manager or Assistant General Manager is critical in maintaining the high standards of operation for these venues and ensuring seamless front-of-house management. This full-time position involves overseeing nightly operations, managing closing shifts, and ensuring a smooth collaboration among venue management teams, booking agents, and promoters. Candidates are expected to have significant hospitality experience, with at least 4 years in the industry and 2 to 3 years of experience bartending or serving. Proficiency in using Toast restaurant management software is essential, as is knowledge of food and beverage service. Experience with live music and nightclub production is highly desirable, reflecting the dynamic environment these venues operate in.
The ideal candidate possesses a strong work ethic, keen attention to detail, and the ability to think critically and solve problems as they arise. As the nightlife environment can be fast-paced and demanding, this role requires a personable and professional demeanor to maintain positive interactions with staff and patrons. The Nightclub Manager will work closely with general managers, venue directors, and booking personnel to curate high-quality entertainment and ensure operational excellence each night. Additional skills in Microsoft Office applications such as Excel and Word are required, and familiarity with Adobe Suite software like Illustrator and Photoshop is preferred, underscoring the creative aspect of the venue’s marketing and promotional needs.
This is an exceptional opportunity to be part of a growing nightlife family in Philadelphia where passion for entertainment meets dedication to guest satisfaction. Joining this organization means contributing to a legacy of excellence and becoming an integral part of the city's vibrant social scene. Candidates should be prepared to engage actively with all facets of venue operations and contribute beyond typical managerial duties by stepping in to assist during busy service times. Certification in SERV Safe and RAMP, while not mandatory, is preferred to support a safe and responsible service environment.
