The role of Manager Retail Branch at GreenState Credit Union is pivotal to its retail operations and overall member experience. This leadership position involves directing and mentoring sales and service teams within a retail branch banking office, ensuring that branch outcomes align with the credit union’s strategic goals. The Manager Retail Branch is responsible for overseeing all aspects of branch operations, including sales, service, staffing, scheduling, performance standards, and business development initiatives.
Operating under the guidance of the Director Retail Branches, this role demands a dynamic and high-energy leader who can inspire teamwork, uphold confidentiality, and drive a culture of service excellence. The manager will play an essential role in the efficient functioning of the branch by implementing effective policies and procedures, conducting performance evaluations, coordinating staff schedules, and managing HR responsibilities such as hiring, training, coaching, and disciplinary actions.

This full-time role includes a work schedule from Monday to Friday, 8:15 am to 5:15 pm, with rotating Saturday shifts from 8:45 am to 12:15 pm. The salary range offered is between $82,321.72 and $96,243.68 annually, alongside a progressive benefits package designed to support employees’ overall well-being and professional growth. Job Requirements
- High school diploma or the equivalent
- Minimum of seven years credit union or related experience
- At least two years supervisory experience
- Ability to engage and win new business
- Knowledge of financial products and credit union policies

Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or the equivalent (e.g. GED)
- Must have 7+ credit union or related experience
- A minimum of two years supervisory experience with demonstrated leadership ability and team building skills preferred
- High energy with the ability to approach individuals and engage in a conversation to successfully win business and open accounts
- Thorough knowledge of products and services
- Ensures appropriate application of the credit union’s policies and procedures
- Ability to network/build relationships to grow business
- Interpersonal skills to represent the credit union in a positive way, both internally and externally at all times
- Accuracy and attention to detail with proficiency in both oral and written communications
- Ability to prioritize work assignments and organize work efficiently to meet established deadlines
- Well-developed problem-solving skills and ability to develop conceptual alternatives
- Ability to plan, organize, implement, and interpret the programs, goals, objectives, policies, projects, and procedures
- Conflict resolution and/or mediation skills

Job Duties
- Oversees and manages retail branch banking offices, which include sales, service and operations
- Implements plan (routines, tactics, strategies) to support achievement of goals and reinforces policies and procedures to comply with fundamental business and credit priorities of the credit union
- Demonstrates teamwork in all interactions with co-workers and in the completion of all duties and responsibilities
- Ensures confidentiality of member information
- Participates in community and business functions/groups to ensure a positive image for the credit union within the designated marketplace
- Responsible for efficient operations through continued assessment and improvements
- Responsible for ensuring that all Credit Union policies, procedures are performed consistently with Board and management guidelines including office equipment and facilities upkeep
- Monitors and reports as requested branch activities in key performance areas
- Develops and recommends annual branch performance targets in both team and individual expectations
- Coaches the branches to achieve business development activities including outside networking, in-branch selling, outbound phone selling skills and targeted branch correspondence
- Creates, trains, develops and coaches a successful sales and service team by holding employees accountable for performance, rewards/recognition for achieving sales and service goals and retention for top talent
- Conducts periodic sales and service performance with branch staff
- prepares and conducts performance evaluations and documentation
- coordinates, tracks and monitors daily scheduling within those that report directly, including overtime, leave of absences
- promotes professional development of branch staff through training
- manages human resources responsibilities for personnel supervised including hiring, termination, performance review, salary recommendation, and other personnel issues
- participates in community service organizations and credit union sponsored events to enrich the community
- Works GreenState’s sponsored and other events on or off premise as scheduled
