The Storm Chasers are a professional baseball team, known for delivering exciting sports entertainment and engaging fan experiences. As a prominent entity in the sports and entertainment industry, the Storm Chasers focus on creating memorable game day atmospheres through innovative promotions, events, and community engagement. The organization is committed to providing a dynamic and fun environment for fans while working closely with sponsors, corporate partners, and the local community to enhance the overall experience.
We are currently seeking a Manager of Promotions to join our team on a full-time basis. This position plays a key role in planning and executing in-game entertainment, including mascots and other non-sponsored game elements. The Manager of Promotions will serve as a vital link between the promotions team and sales, ensuring that events and promotional activities align with sponsorship goals and ticket sales efforts. This role requires creativity, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced, event-driven environment. The successful candidate will oversee everything from theme nights, game day entertainment logistics, promotional calendar maintenance, and coordination with various departments to ensure seamless execution of all promotional events.
As the Manager of Promotions, you will be responsible for researching industry trends to bring fresh ideas to our game day presentations. You will develop themes and coordinate character appearances to maximize fan enjoyment and sponsor visibility. Managing logistics for entertainers, coordinating with the Corporate Client Services Manager to fulfill contractual obligations, and ensuring that all promotions meet team and sponsorship goals are critical aspects of this job. You will also prepare engaging event scripts, participate in marketing planning with the Marketing department, and assist with promotional video shoots and appearances.
In addition to overseeing in-game entertainment execution, the Manager of Promotions will handle procurement of necessary promo items such as giveaways, manage scheduling of national anthem singers, and supervise gameday staff. Strong communication skills are essential, as this role requires clear articulation of promotion details to internal staff, customers, and the public to boost attendance at Storm Chasers events. The position demands flexibility, as it includes varied work hours, such as nights, weekends, and holidays.

Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum 2 years experience in promotions or event management
- Ability to prioritize and multi-task
- Excellent interpersonal skills
- Willingness to work varied and long hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Passion for sports and entertainment
- Attention to detail
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in marketing communications or related field preferred
- Experience in sports promotions or entertainment industry preferred
- Proven ability to manage multiple projects and work under pressure
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills
- Familiarity with baseball preferred
- Ability to work flexible hours including nights weekends and holidays
- Proficiency with event management software a plus
Job Duties
- Proactively research trends and best practices and emerging technologies to stay on forefront of promotions
- Oversee promotional calendar creation and maintenance and ensure access to current calendar for appropriate parties
- Develop plan for theme nights including pregame in-game and postgame elements and character appearances with intent to secure sponsors
- Coordinate logistics for game day appearances and entertainment including contracting entertainers set up and take down
- Coordinate promotions products games events with Corporate Client Services Manager to ensure contract execution and satisfaction
- Manage execution of sponsored and non-sponsored promotions as needed
- Ensure event scripts are fun and meet team and sponsor goals
- Make calls and coordinate with outside organizations related to displays opportunities for games events and theme nights
- Procure items for sponsored promotions including giveaways and supplies meeting marketing and game date deadlines
- Oversee scheduling of national anthem singers and assist with add-on sales
- Work with Marketing department to plan coordinate and evaluate marketing plans for sponsored promotions and theme nights
- Clearly communicate promotion product theme night details to staff customers and public to increase attendance
- Assist with video shoots and appearances for promotion of ticket and sponsorship sales
- Coordinate assigned staffing of games and events and supervise assigned gameday staff
- Maintain select software systems related to game and event operations
- Perform other duties as assigned
