Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent education/experience in marketing, communications or public relations
  • 5-7 years of experience in philanthropy or closely related fields such as event planning or marketing
  • Knowledge of or experience in event and volunteer management, and marketing and communications preferred
  • Knowledge of and experience using InDesign, Raiser’s Edge and a variety of social media platforms strongly preferred
  • Comprehensive knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite required
  • Flexibility to work evenings and weekends as required for events and donor and volunteer meetings, as well as travel to two annual Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals business meetings per year
  • Excellent oral communication skills including the ability to present in front of large, diverse groups clearly and effectively
  • Excellent analysis skills
  • Excellent writing skills
  • Ability to assess donor capacity and intent and strategize donor stewardship and cultivation activities

  • Ability to assess donor capacity and strategize stewardship and cultivation activities

Job Duties

  • Manage all Children’s Miracle Network Hospitals partnerships and programs for MaineHealth Barbara Bush Children’s Hospital
  • Serve as liaison to CMN National Office to share and implement best practices
  • Lead stewardship of largest fundraising partners and programs
  • Develop new business partnerships and pilot CMN Hospital programs locally
  • Supervise two full-time coordinators and seasonal paid interns
  • Organize and oversee event and volunteer management activities
  • Communicate effectively with diverse groups and present fundraising goals and results
