Job Description
Sutter Health is a prominent integrated health system serving communities across Northern California with a commitment to providing high-quality, compassionate care. As one of the leading nonprofit health systems in the region, Sutter Health encompasses a diverse network of hospitals, medical foundations, outpatient centers, and specialty care providers. Among its esteemed institutions is the California Pacific Medical Center (CPMC), a key part of the Sutter Health network. CPMC is respected for its patient-centered approach, advanced medical services, and dedication to innovation in healthcare delivery. The organization strives to combine clinical excellence with a compassionate experience for its patients, families, and communities it serves.
The Event Manager position at CPMC is an exciting opportunity within Sutter Health's philanthropy department. This role is central to advancing the Foundation's mission by driving successful fundraising events that support vital healthcare initiatives. The individual occupying this role will be responsible for planning, coordinating, and executing various events that boost donor engagement and philanthropy goals. By developing and implementing event strategies aligned with Sutter Health's broader goals, the Event Manager will ensure that all events deliver exceptional experiences for donors, volunteers, board members, physicians, and community partners.
In this position, the Event Manager will oversee all facets of event production, including managing timelines, budgets, vendor relationships, logistics, communication plans, and on-site executions. Collaboration is a vital aspect of the role, as the manager will serve as a critical liaison with senior leadership, philanthropy staff, medical center collaborators, and external stakeholders. This integration ensures events not only meet organizational priorities but also enhance the visibility and reputation of the Foundation within the community.
The role demands a well-organized professional with strong leadership skills who can manage multiple projects simultaneously while maintaining high-quality results. Additionally, the Event Manager must be adept in donor engagement and stewardship principles, capable of designing events that effectively contribute to fundraising and relationship-building objectives. Familiarity with event-related technologies such as registration platforms, budgeting tools, and project management systems is essential, alongside proficiency in the Microsoft Office Suite.
This is a full-time, exempt position with a Monday through Friday schedule during the day, although weekend work may be required occasionally based on event needs. The role offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $118,560 to $177,840, reflecting the candidate's experience, skills, and location considerations. As part of Sutter Health’s comprehensive total rewards program, this position includes a robust benefits package that supports employee well-being and professional development.
Joining Sutter Health in this capacity means becoming part of an inclusive and supportive environment that values diversity, teamwork, and a shared commitment to improving community health through philanthropy. The Event Manager will play a pivotal role in the foundation's fundraising efforts, driving initiatives that enable continued medical advancements and enhanced patient care throughout Northern California.
