Greylock Insurance Agency is currently seeking a full-time Manager for their Personal Lines Service Team. This leadership role is pivotal for achieving production targets, overseeing the daily operations of the personal lines team, and maintaining high customer service standards. The ideal candidate will lead by example, mentoring account managers, managing operational efficiency, and ensuring compliance with underwriting guidelines and regulatory mandates. This position offers a hybrid remote work environment based in Westfield, MA, with an attractive salary range of $60,000 to $80,000 annually.
As the Manager of the Personal Lines Service Team, you will play a critical role in driving business growth by supporting account managers in new business generation and policy quoting. You will also maintain a small book of personal lines business, handling customer inquiries, policy changes, and claims processing with a customer-centric approach. Collaboration is key, as you will work closely with the Operations Administrator to ensure all insurance products and regulatory changes are effectively communicated and adhered to by your team. You will nurture strong partnerships with insurance carriers, marketing, and underwriting personnel, as well as Greylock Federal Credit Union employees to maximize referral opportunities.
Beyond operational management, this role demands a hands-on leader capable of resolving service issues promptly and contributing to strategic marketing and sales initiatives. Job Requirements
- License: Property and Casualty (MA)
- Minimum 3 years of Personal Lines insurance experience with an independent insurance agency
- Ability to travel to other offices as needed for meetings, training sessions or office coverage
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor’s Degree, Some college, No Degree
- Experience in Personal Lines insurance with at least 3 years in an independent insurance agency
- Familiarity with management and rating systems including Epic
- Proficient in DocuSign, Adobe, MS Teams, MS Sharepoint, MS Word, MS Excel, MS Outlook, Zoom
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Excellent communication and customer service skills
Job Duties
- Lead and mentor a team of account managers within Personal Lines including assigning tasks, monitoring performance and coaching
- Meet or exceed Personal Lines production goals set by SVP, Agency Manager by assisting account managers in generating new business and quoting personal lines insurance
- Provide customer service to a small Personal Lines book of business, including policy changes, assist with inquiries, write and process insurance policies, educate customers about policy coverages, and general customer service
- Work with the Operations Administrator to ensure all systems, procedures, rate and product changes as well as insurance company regulations are communicated to and adhered to by all Personal Lines staff
- Work with management team to oversee, coordinate and maintain strong working relationships with both underwriting and marketing personnel from partner companies
- Maintain communications and relationships with Greylock Federal Credit Union employees regarding referrals to the agency
- Maintain a thorough knowledge of company specific products and services and assist management with implementing marketing and sales strategies
- Troubleshoot and reconcile problems and complaints referred by customers and staff
