The Order Fulfillment Manager position at the University of Utah Campus Store is a full-time role (M-F, 8a-5p with some late nights, weekends, and holidays) that offers a salary range of $58,000 to $62,000 depending on experience. This role is essential to the smooth operation of the store's ecommerce fulfillment department, ensuring that customer orders are processed accurately, efficiently, and timely while maintaining high service and inventory standards. The manager will lead a team consisting of full-time, part-time, temporary, and student employees responsible for picking, packing, and shipping orders. They will oversee staffing, performance management, and workflow optimization while promoting continual process improvements.
The successful candidate will utilize Oracle NetSuite and other operational systems to manage order processing and support the ecommerce business. They will collaborate extensively with purchasing, merchandising, warehouse, customer service, retail operations, and technology teams to optimize fulfillment operations. The position demands strong leadership, organizational, and analytical skills to monitor and improve key performance indicators such as fulfillment speed, shipping costs, labor productivity, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction. Job Requirements
- Bachelor's degree or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Four years of directly related work experience or master's degree with two years of experience
- Ability to work M-F, 8a-5p with some late nights, weekends, and holidays
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and work in a warehouse and fulfillment environment
Job Qualifications
- Bachelor's degree in business, supply chain management, retail management, operations management, or related field or equivalent combination of education and experience
- Three years of progressively responsible experience in ecommerce fulfillment, warehouse operations, retail operations, logistics, or distribution
- Experience supervising and developing employees in a fast-paced operational environment
- Experience using Oracle NetSuite or another enterprise ERP system for order management, inventory control, and fulfillment operations
- Demonstrated ability to analyze operational metrics and implement process improvements
- Strong leadership, organizational, analytical, and problem-solving skills
- Excellent communication and collaboration skills
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and Microsoft Office applications
Job Duties
- Lead the daily operations of the Campus Store's order fulfillment department
- Hire, train, schedule, coach, and evaluate full-time, part-time, temporary, and student employees
- Develop staffing plans and allocate labor resources to support seasonal demand, promotions, athletic events, and peak business periods
- Establish performance expectations, monitor productivity and quality metrics, and provide coaching and accountability to team members
- Lead process improvement and continuous improvement initiatives that increase operational efficiency, order accuracy, and customer satisfaction
- Evaluate fulfillment workflows and implement operational improvements to support business growth and scalability
- Oversee order processing using Oracle NetSuite and associated shipping and inventory management systems
