The Manager of Operations for Beta Bags role at Getinge is a vital leadership position within the Life Science Sterile Transfer Product Area, based in Merrimack. Reporting directly to the Vice President of Sterile Transfer (Life Science) and working closely with the Director of Manufacturing at the Merrimack facility, this role has primary responsibility for overseeing all aspects of Beta Bag production. The manager leads a dedicated operations team responsible for ensuring efficient and compliant manufacturing processes, meeting quality standards, and fulfilling business objectives.
This role plays a strategic part within Getinge, helping to define the business goals for Beta Bag operations while coordinating activities across various support functions such as inventory control, planning, quality control, maintenance, finance, and customer service. The Manager of Operations is tasked with fostering a culture of continuous improvement, driving resource planning, facilitating communication across shifts, and supporting problem-solving initiatives like investigations and CAPA (Corrective and Preventive Actions).
Candidates for this position are expected to have a minimum of five years’ management experience in regulated manufacturing environments, preferably within medical technology or other regulated industries. Strong leadership skills are essential, including the ability to inspire, motivate, and develop teams, as well as proficiency in operational excellence tools such as Lean manufacturing. Effective communication at all organizational levels, strategic thinking, and resource management abilities are critical to success.
Getinge offers a competitive annual salary ranging from $115,000 to $145,000 complemented by a 15% Short-Term Incentive Plan (STIP). Job Requirements
- Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience
- Minimum of five years management experience in a regulated manufacturing environment or equivalent experience
- Minimum of three years of progressive leadership experience in operations, engineering, and/or product development preferred
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels of the organization
- Experience within Medical Tech industry or other regulated industries preferred

Job Duties
- Responsible for managing dedicated Beta Bag organization in Merrimack facility
- Oversees successful daily operations of Beta Bag production
- Serves as the Merrimack representative of the Beta Bag Product Area management team
- Works with Life Science management for scoping and strategic direction of Beta Bag production in Merrimack
- Collaborates with support functions such as inventory control, planning, warehouse, quality control, direct customer service, maintenance, finance and others to ensure clear communication of priorities
- Manage daily communication to shift personnel and drive shift huddles and support functional team meetings
- Participate in investigations and CAPA when required
- Lead, coach and develop an efficient team
- lead troubleshooting activities, provide investigation support, identify and implement process improvements
- Drive resource planning such as materials, personnel and equipment to ensure seamless operations of manufacturing activities and motivate direct reports
- Work with all team members to promote a continuous improvement culture regarding profitability and output of Beta Bags
- Promote behaviors and principles that drive continuous improvement
- Other duties and projects as assigned or as requested
