The position available is a full-time management role in human resources, offering a salary range of $75,000 to $96,000 annually, with eligibility for bonuses. The role is based on-site in Aurora, Colorado, and is pivotal in supporting the company’s vision and objectives through strategic internal communications and event management.

This role centers on the development, management, and marketing of internal communication initiatives and corporate events that establish and enhance company culture. The successful candidate will be responsible for overseeing the production of all hotel-wide communications disseminated to employees via various platforms including email templates, memos, flyers, posters/signage, intranet, and communication stations. Creativity in developing and executing communication and event concepts is crucial as this role manages the Employee Communications team, ensuring effective messaging and engagement. A key responsibility includes crafting the General Manager’s internal communications and coordinating various events such as leadership outings, STAR rallies, and leadership team meetings. The role requires continual updating of communication tools and strategies aligned with current industry trends and budgetary constraints to maintain fiscal responsibility. Additionally, this position involves analyzing service issues, collaborating with operational teams to align strategies with brand objectives, budgeting, auditing expenses, and performance appraisals. The ideal candidate will also facilitate creative solutions to improve guest satisfaction, advise leaders on communication matters, and manage human resources activities related to interviewing, training, staffing, and employee relations. Job Requirements

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related major and 2 years experience in human resources, management operations, or related area
  • Or 2-year degree in Communications or related major and 4 years experience in human resources, management operations, or related area
  • Proven experience in managing internal communications and events
  • Strong leadership and team management capabilities
  • Excellent communication skills
  • Ability to develop and implement strategic communication plans
  • Experience in budgeting and expense auditing
  • Skilled in multimedia content creation
  • Ability to handle employee complaints and disciplinary action
  • Knowledge of current communication tools and industry trends

Job Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Communications or related field or equivalent experience
  • Minimum 2 years experience in human resources, management operations, or related area with a bachelor's degree
  • Or minimum 4 years experience with a 2-year degree in Communications or related field
  • Proven leadership and team management skills

Job Duties

  • Manage production of all hotel-wide employee communications through various media
  • Manage daily activities and performance of the Employee Communications team
  • Create the General Manager’s internal messages including memos, recognition letters, invitations, and presentations for events
  • Analyze service issues and identify trends
  • Develop operational strategy aligned with brand business strategy and lead execution
  • Review and audit expenses
  • Plan and apportion work amongst employees with clear directions
  • Audit departmental recognition and communication tools for cultural alignment
  • Plan and control budget
  • Appraise employee productivity and recommend changes in status
  • Update communication tools and methods based on research and industry trends
  • Create hotel publications involving research, interviews, writing, design, and distribution
  • Develop multimedia presentations and produce videos for events
  • Facilitate development of creative solutions to improve guest satisfaction
  • Advise leaders and employees on communication issues
  • Interview, select, train employees
  • Direct the work of employees
  • Set and adjust employee pay rates and work hours
  • Handle employee complaints and disciplinary actions as needed
