Job Description
GES is a leading global event experience company specializing in providing integrated services such as freight, logistics, and decorating for exhibitions, trade shows, and events. With decades of industry expertise, GES supports clients in creating memorable and smoothly executed shows by taking control of all operational facets related to event production. As a prominent player in the event services sector, GES prides itself on delivering superior customer service combined with operational efficiency. The company’s business philosophy emphasizes a collaborative culture, innovation, and a commitment to safety and compliance, setting the standard in event logistics and support. GES is known for its extensive roster of full-service offerings, covering everything from initial event planning stages to on-site operations and post-event wrap-up, making it a one-stop solution for clients’ show needs.
The role of the Show-Site Operations Coordinator at GES is vital in ensuring the flawless coordination and execution of all show-site activities. Reporting directly to the Senior Operations Manager, this position is responsible for overseeing the operational components of freight, logistics, and decorating across multiple event sites. The coordinator will lead various accounts, such as level owners, hall owners, and event owners, to ensure streamlined operations that meet customer expectations and company standards. This role demands a thorough understanding of event production workflows, including planning, staffing, budgeting, compliance with regulatory requirements like OSHA and DOT, and strict adherence to business standard operating procedures.
The chosen candidate will develop comprehensive implementation plans that align labor and cost management with show budgets and service requirements while ensuring productivity and performance metrics are met or exceeded. Critical to this role is managing people and assets on-site, facilitating accurate billing and documentation, and maintaining clear communication channels with internal teams and external stakeholders. The person in this role will also be responsible for labor and productivity tracking, grievance documentation, and compliance management, all while maintaining a customer-focused approach to service delivery. This position requires the ability to adapt to dynamic environments, manage multiple tasks under pressure, and work flexible hours, potentially including nights and weekends. With a targeted career path in event operations management, this role offers extensive opportunities for professional growth within GES’s supportive and team-oriented culture.
