The role available is a full-time Kitchen Operations Lead based in Orange City, Florida, focused on managing all kitchen operations within the healthcare facility. This includes overseeing patient meal services, the café, and physician lounge, ensuring the delivery of consistent, high-quality food and service. The leader in this role collaborates closely with department heads to align foodservice strategies with overarching organizational goals, patient needs, and regulatory standards. Responsibilities include managing staffing plans, implementing training and performance evaluation programs to develop a skilled and engaged team, and maintaining strict adherence to food safety, sanitation standards, and local, state, and federal regulations. This position also involves driving continuous improvement initiatives through operational audits and quality service efforts powered by data-driven decision-making.

Candidates for this role should possess a solid background in complex, high-volume food service operations, demonstrating exceptional customer service skills and the ability to manage multiple tasks under pressure. Technical skills include proficiency in MS Office and patient food service management software, with CDM training or a current credential being mandatory. The role requires a minimum of two years in food service and over four years in management or supervisory roles within restaurants or institutional food services. Healthcare-specific experience as a patient services supervisor or manager is essential. Preferred educational credentials include an associate or bachelor’s degree, and preferred certifications cover driver’s license, HACCP certification, and various dietitian or nutritionist licenses or certifications. The pay range offered for this position is $54,680.66 to $101,717.57 per annum, reflecting the scope of responsibility and expertise required. Job Requirements

  • 2 plus years of food service position-related experience upon hire
  • 4 plus years of management and supervisory experience in restaurants or institutional food service upon hire
  • Experience as a patient services supervisor or manager in a healthcare setting
  • Associate degree preferred
  • Bachelor’s degree preferred
  • Driver’s license preferred
  • Hazard analysis and critical control points certification preferred
  • Registered dietitian preferred
  • Licensed dietitian nutritionist or licensed dietitian or certified dietitian preferred

Job Qualifications

  • Working knowledge of complex multifaceted high volume food service operation
  • Experience in a customer service environment with demonstrated excellent customer skills
  • Ability to concurrently manage multiple operations and maintain composure under pressure
  • Proficiency with MS Office applications and excellent interpersonal skills
  • Knowledge of patient food service management nutrition management software and ability to use it at a high level of proficiency
  • CDM training or current credential
